What a fantastic read! A great lead into The Phantom Menace. Really set the scene with the background of all the major people and places in Episode 1. Loved the writing style, too. Highly recommended for any Star Wars fan.

Loved it. Could not put it down from start to finish. Some chilling moments and some great twists and turns and a surprisingly thought provoking end to the book.

An enjoyable read. I enjoyed the human side of the hero with his many thoughts about his life and his decision making in this dire situation. While I did really enjoy this thriller, I did find the movie even better, where the best parts of the book were retained with additional action and thrills added to make a great action movie. Worth a read.

I really enjoyed this Christmas horror novella. It had me captivated from start to finish. Keen to read some of Gomez's longer works.

This was certainly the grossest book I have ever read. While I appreciated the underlying story the depiction of it was totally disturbing. Be wary if you intend to read this. It is gross.

Some messed up holiday stories about Christmas, Thanksgiving and of course, Halloween. The stories were all very disturbing and I thought they were all great, probably my favourite was the Halloween story which had me spooked throughout.

An entertaining read. A little slow and not as much gore as I was expecting. Not my favourite Judith Sonnet book that I have read but I will definitely be reading more of her work.

Hilarious!

A pretty gross tale of Santa on Christmas Eve. Some hilarious descriptions that were impossible to get out of your head. Would have liked the story to be a bit longer as I was really getting invested in it as it ended. Maybe a sequel?

This was my second Walter Tevis book. I found it quite different to The Queens Gambit it was certainly no less enjoyable. I found it very moving, emotional and thought provoking. I look forward to read more of Tevis' books. Highly recommended.

A well written informative novel.

Another great Jim Thompson book. I really enjoyed the black comedy and satire that filled this story. I enjoyed reading it as much as the other two Thompson books I read but I was a little underwhelmed by the ending which prevented me from giving it 5 stars. Still extremely enjoyable and I will continue to seek out more Thompson books.
