Ozick is an all-time fave, but I could never enter into this one. Felt as if it should have been a 60 page, acid-dripped novella.
The best book in the series, and the only one I've really liked since it stopped being vaguely postmodern.
Diminishing returns from the Grell run. “Longbow Hunters” and the first few volumes of this ongoing series had clarity and purpose. Vol.6 finds Grell as adrift as Ollie. I also really miss Dan Jurgens's art, which gave the series an 80s sheen and balanced the light and the dark.
