At first I struggled with this book. It didn't really focus much on Moody's theology. But as I read I saw the evolution of his faith. The thing that stood out to me the most was his passion!! His heart was that everyone come to Christ. So while I still don't know much about where he stood on certain doctrines, he taught me to strive for that same eagerness. He was definitely an evangelist.

This is basically an excerpt from Strobel's more in depth The Case for Christ. It's an easy read written on his journey to sort out Christianity. I recommend it to anyone who may need a way to explain the evidence to others as well as to those who are looking for the evidence.

Good book that addresses issues with progressive Christianity. Childers writes from a memoir perspective using her journal as a guide, but she addresses the issues where progressive Christianity leads you away from the Bible and historical Christianity.
I would say writing from her experience and questioning her own faith gives credibility to those who may be struggling with their own faith. By her saying “I've walked this path, and this is how I sorted through it”, hopefully this book will keep others from walking away from the faith.

This book was okay. I like the message but it felt like the author kind of drug out what he was trying to say.

I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to reading some of his other works as well.

It is a work of fiction from the perspective of a mentor demon training a new demon. While it is fictional, it is also very thought provoking. It was written in a setting of the Great War, but there is still so much about people today and today's society that it could have been written this year.

I've always been a Regan fan. Not necessarily because of his politics, but from what I've read, I'm drawn to his character.

I'm not really sure what led me to this book. It's been on my Kindle for awhile and I finally read it. I'm not really the type to read a self-help book, well....because I just don't like them.

This one was a little different though. Rather than pointing to self, it points to God. the title can be misleading. At first I thought it was going to be some major event that happened, but that wasn't the case. It's actually about how we slowly tend to lose our focus and drift away from God and our purpose without realizing it. Even when we are still going through the motions we may be drifiting. Anyway, if you're into the self-help style, I recommend this one.

I recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn how to study the Bible more accurately. She goes into how to handle various books based on the genre of that book. One has to understand what the author intended in order to interpret it correctly.

I wholeheartedly agree with Wilkin that we have a society full of Biblically illiterate people. This has allowed false gospels and false doctrines to run rampant in society leading many people astray.

I don't agree with all of MacArthur's views but he does a good job of explaining things. A lot of cultural background included that when you understand that the Bible naturally becomes more clear.

This is one of my favorite commentaries these days. It explains what is happening in society while these scriptures are taking place. It helps paint the full picture of history which in turn helps with understanding the Bible better.
