I loved this when I read it in middle school — I still think about it occasionally. Fun fact: To recall the title of the book, I searched “time travel dinosaurs viruses take over earth.”

Highly recommended.

Re-read — fascinating to revisit Franzen's thoughts on privacy, bureaucracy, culture, reading, technology in 2022. Holds up surprisingly well.
