At first I was afriad to read the book since it was in part not written by the original author but took a chance and it was a great continuation for the Millenium series. New ennemies were introduced but Lisbeth and Mikael were the same. Great story, the suspense was on point. Great work!
Informative, plenty of recipes. A very complete cookbook for the beginner or advanced cook.
Dissapointed. I expected more from this book but it was long, slow and the story wasn't interesting.
Didn't enjoy this book. The story was not engaging, the characters were not likeable.
Brilliant. At one point I thought I knew what was going to happen but I was wrong. Theres a suprise at the end of every chapter. Suspensful until the then. can
t wait to read the next one.
Not as good as the first one but still the same Joe. Mess with him and you'll pay dearly!
if you look at the word crazy in a dictionary, you'll see Joe the main character in this book. The more you read this book and about Joe, the more you canoot stop, you just want to know what happens next. Dark, at times freaky and with some humor. A pleasure!
August in an ordinary 10 year old, well on the inside he is but the outside it's totally different. His face is not like an 10 year old, he has abnormalities. People stare and point, he's used to it but still feel sad when it happens.
He's been home schooled but his mom decides that it's time for him to experience the outside world and be a normal kid in his own way.
Th story is told several people's point of view August, his sister's Via, Jack, his new best friend, Via's boyfriend and his parents. You feel their pain, their concerns and some, their shame.
Touching, sweet, this book will inspire you to be kind and respectful of others.
Beautiful story. Maddie is used to living the high life but when her husband Ellis and his friend Hank decides to go look for the Loch Ness, her world is horribly turned upside down.
She has to get used to another country in a small village, left alone on most days, she starts a friendship with the help and at the same time discovers that her life is not what it all seems. The Loch Ness is not the only monster in this story.
An enjoyable historical fiction.
Mike Wingate was abandonned by his father at the age of four and has lived most of his youth in foster care. 30 years later, hes married, has a child and a company that is succesful. During a award ceremony he meets a dangerous man who might be linked to his past.
I thought it was an okay book, I found the story a little bit exagerated and sometimes boring. The revelation near the end didn
t do nothing for me. The basic of the story was good but it became too far-fetched and dissapointing.
Three years ago, Catrin has stopped living since the death of her sons caused by her best friend Rachel. Near the annivesary of their deaths, a child is missing and he isn't the first one.
She participate in the search with her ex-lover Callum all the while she has her sons and Rachel on her mind.
There is a lot of rumors, speculations surrounding all three of them. They all have their secrets and half thruths are being told. Who is telling the thruth.
This book keeps you guessing. The story is being told in three different views: Catrin, Callum and Rachel.
Great psychologial thriller. Lots of twists, lies are becoming thruths. The characters are great, you do feel their pains but also some anger towards them.
The author takes you to a beautiful place that is marked by sorrow, pain and murder until the very last sentence.
Beautiful book.. It's a light read but very profound book.
Love the way it was written, the character Mr. Stevens is talking directly to you and telling his life story about his lifelong career has a butler during his trip to go see Miss Kenton.
Well written, a truly enjoyable book!
Beautiful book, yes it's sad look into a family living with a family member with Huntington's disease but it is done with brilliance. You can sense everybody's fear, anger and love through this book. I knew a little bit about this disease by watching documentaries but this book gives you a personal aspects and you cannot read this book without shedding a tear more than once.
This is the third book in the Mickey Bolitar series. Just like the first one, Mickey is trying to find the truth in the death of his father but this time he has to deal with what happened to his friends Spoon who got shot and is still in the hospital and telling the truth to Rachel about her mother`s death.
This time Ema his best friend is asking for help in finding her online ‘boyfriend' who has stop communicating all of a sudden not only that, the school bully Troy who got kicked out of the basketball team because of steroids is asking for his help in exonerate him. He still has to deal with his uncle Myron and his mother who is still in rehab.
Just like the other two books this is a fast paced book. A lot of action, the suspense is on point. Even though the story is serious, the teenagers in this books sometimes act mature but not too much, the kid inside comes out and the author did a very good job not to overdo it.
I like the fact that all three books are well connected, you can read this one on its own since he does recap the other two books in this one but I recommend reading all three to get a better understanding.
I love the ending but it left so many unanswered questions. I hope the author is thinking about writing another one to answer that is still lingering.
Great series not only for young adults but grownups too
4.5 stars.
What an imagination! To make a baby live in a graveyard being raised by supernatural beings makes this book so enjoyable. Great story, well developped characters. Nobody Owens was such a great character, This book is a quick read but such a delight!
An actor dies at the same time a terrible flu spreads. The collapse of a civilization. Some of the survivors are connected to this actor so the story goes from before the flu and after.
An interesting story that makes you think that something like this might happen. Great sci-fi novel.
Disturbing story but loved it. Sara, Jeffrey and lena are back with the discovery of a pregnant young woman bureid in the woods but we also go into their personal lives and people from their past reappear. Great book.karin Slaughter is inching her way into my favorite thriller author.
Total 5 stars. what a way to end the Grant series. A lot of twists, some questions were answered and the ending what a shocker.
3e livre avec le policier Victor Lessard. Un peu moins bon que les deux premiers mais très bon. beaucoup de suspense. Le fait que ça se passe à Montréal est un bonus. Les meutres se paasent au présent mais il y a une connection au passé est intriguant.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review.
Call me grim is about teenager Libby who almost gets hit by a truck but is saved by mysterious guy named Aaron. He saved her for a reason, he's a Grimm and he wants her to take her place. She doesn't believe him but starts to see glowing light aroung people and after witnessing Aaron take the soul of an elderly woman she starts to believe what he says is true.
She only has two days to decide if she will take his place or she will die. She doesn't want to but something happens, her best friend Kyle is marked and will commit a crime. Now she has a difficult decision to make: take the job and try to save Kyle or refuse and die in two days.
This is Ms. Holloway's debut novel and it's good. This paranormal story is original and well written. You do not get bored reading this book, it's a fast paced book. All the characters were well developped and interesting.
There is some romance but it's so minimal and it doesn't get in the way of the main story. I loved her concept of what happens when we die and the purpose of having Grim reapers when that happens.
Original, action-packed can't wait for the sequel. Amazing job from Ms. Holloway!
Great story. A mix of the past and present well executed. Many layers told by different characters. A bit slow at times but an enjoyable book about about finding the thruth.
Colleen Oakley Before I Go
For I'd like to thank Simon and Shuster and Goodreads for the ARC of this book.
Daisy is dying. She beat cancer three years ago but now at 27, she has lots of Cancer and only has months to a year to live. She's a list writer junkie and on top of her list : Find a wife for her charming, disorganized in training veterinarian. She goes online, bookstores, dog park with the help of her best friend Kayleigh for the perfect woman that will take her place when she's gone. Is this a good plan, does she really want to push her husband towards another woman before she dies?
This is a sad book but in a good way. This book is told in the point of view of the main character, Daisy. She's a great character, you feel sorry for her because she's dying but sometimes during the book I felt I just wanted to shake her and make her realize the bad choices she was making regarding her husband. The interaction between Daisy and her BFF Kayleigh is real, funny and touching. The love that she has with her husband is beautiful and you just want to root for them to have an happy ending.
It also delves into her past and the relationship she has with her mother. Her mother is suffocating her but she still wants a close relationship but is afraid to show her that side.
We go though all her ups and downs during this novel, it will make you laugh and also shed a tear.
A beautiful debut novel worth reading.
