A little too wordy for my taste. I might read/listen to the rest of them but probably not.
Spectacularly funny, enjoyed the story from start to finish. Very realistic engineer attitude and sense of humor.
A little slow to get moving but by the end I was truly interested in what would happen and would definitely read the next book in the series.
I have enjoyed the books in this world and plan the read future works from the author. The characters are good and enjoyable but there are times when the books seem to wind down very quickly at the end of the story.
Good final book to the trilogy. All quick reads (or listen in my case) but very enjoyable. The epilogue contains a brief explanation of where she got the idea for the book which is always interesting.
Good book, but not great. Its a good continuation of the series and I'm looking forward to reading the remainder of the trilogy
I loved this book just as much as [b:The Name of the Wind 186074 The Name of the Wind (Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) Patrick Rothfuss http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1270352123s/186074.jpg 2502879]. Can't wait for the next book to hear the end of the story. I like the way the way the story is told as a Kvothe telling the story of his life i the book. It works very well. The narrator of the Audible is just as good in the 2nd book as the first. Highly recommend the book, no matter the format.
Took a while to get invested in the book, UT found the story interesting and the 2nd half kept me wanting to read more the. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Love this book. Especially that it didn't wrap up in a epic battle just in time to start the next book of the trilogy. I've read too many series where each book completes one part of the story nicely just at the very end and begins again at the start of the next book. This book just kinda leaves you hanging wanting to read the next book.
Enjoyed the retelling of the story from a different perspective, even knowing the ending.
A nice revisit with some characters from past books but without the slow pace and [b:The Heroes 9300768 The Heroes Joe Abercrombie http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1284418103s/9300768.jpg 12879765]. There was not much to meet my definition of western but a very enjoyable read. Nice to see Logan hasn't changed much.
Thouroghly enjoyed the book. Enjoyed the not so angelic angels but still the stereotypes between angels and demons. Very nicely done.
Listened on Audible, the story was good, not great, but the narration wasn't very good.
This is one of the best series of books I've ever read. The characters are incredibly well written and the story is well done. This third book in the trilogy wraps up the story but as with some other books, not everything turned out just right. For the most part the good guys win but it wasn't a storybook ending either.
Not as good as [b:Best Served Cold 2315892 Best Served Cold Joe Abercrombie http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1246971611s/2315892.jpg 2322406] but still a good book. Possibly a little burnt out on the world and the characters after reading all the [a:Joe Abercrombie 276660 Joe Abercrombie http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1207149426p2/276660.jpg] consecutively.
Good book but I it would have been better if it wasn't for the character names. I just don't care for the names of the characters but I do like the characters.
I really enjoyed the mix of magic and muskets/cannons. The theory behind the magic being based on color was really interesting and has me excited for the next book.
Very enjoyable and humorous. Seems to be the personality of John Scalzi and it definitely suits me.
Very enlightening. Found a few things that advertisers use to convince people to buy the option they want instead of what the customer wants/needs. Hopefully I won't fall for these tactics in the future.
Enjoyed some of the the stories, but felt that there was too much detail into the method of the experiment and not enough on the primary issue or ways to improve yourself.
