Personally I enjoyed the summaries included in the back more than the snippets of stories provided.
I thought it was going to be a little better. But overall I really enjoyed it. I might reread it, so I could give it a better rating. I was in a little reading slump when i read it.
Overall while it was a great novella. I thought it was a wonderful companion to Wonder that actually adds to the story in a way that intertwines perfectly.
I thought it showed a lot of character growth that we didn't get to see of Julian in Wonder. At first I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of Julian and I didn't even think it was justified while reading his thoughts but then I realized this is an eleven year old kid and I can't be too hard on him. But then it led me to think about how we show kids morality. I have a younger brother and I know for a fact I wouldn't justify his actions like Julian's mother did; but I do highly doubt that I would properly emphasize how wrong it is to judge and bully someone you barely know.
What really touched me though was his Grandmothers story about the first Julian. It was quite heartbreaking and it was just a treat to read. I literally felt like Julian who was completely enthralled in the story his grandmother was telling him.
When Julian realized how terrible he was to Auggie with no justification I literally felt like it was the triumph that Julian needed to realize that he should always choose kind.
I really liked it, but i felt like it was a little unrealistic. Like Garrett didn't even think twice before helping her. It was a quick and easy read, if you want something light. I also felt like Avery was a little annoying, on how she had trouble choosing between Jace and Garrett.
It was a really good wattpad novel but I will admit some parts dragged on a little. And there were times I wanted to literally smack the crap out of Hailey and Alex but overall really enjoyable.
It was free on iBooks so why not download it. I didn't have any high expectations so I enjoyed it was really cheesy and cute and light. It was a nice breather from all the more serious books I'm reading.
3.5
It was a pretty solid book, I got it for free on iBooks. It follows the story of a woman named Mia who decided to continue her education abroad in Spain to rediscover herself after a painful past in New York. There in her senior year of college she meets Leo and the story really begin from there.
There were times were I felt like the story was dragging and the romance was going way too fast. Overall the plot was pretty good but Mia's secret was actually very anticlimactic, with the way she was acting I expected a much bigger secret to be honest. There were many times were I wanted to slap Mia in the face. Literally one moment she'll feel sorry for herself because she ruined the relationship but the moment she sees Leo she would act like a total snob and very bitchy. I would recommend this to anyone who could find this for free honestly.
It took me a while to get into it. I felt like the last twenty pages is the only thing making me continue this series.
I read some of this before and I remember enjoying myself reading it. Although I did think the ending was weird and slightly all over the place it was a nice quick read.
Lisa is involve with her best friend Tony, but when Tony returns from a 5-week soccer camp she finds herself getting close to the soccer team captain Ryan Hunter.
Very light and fluffy contemporary novel. Very easy to get through and it was only 99 cents. Although I wish we got more of the friendship aspect between Lisa and Tony because in all honesty I had no idea why she decided she was in love with him.
I'm really glad this book was free. I hated it and I couldn't even finish it. The beginning was okay at best and I figured I could deal with it but it progressively got worst. The last thing I could handle was when she reunited with her main love interest, quite frankly I didn't care enough to find out what his secret was. The way the main character fell in love with him was completely unrealistic. The book was trying to be lyrical but ending up trying too hard and being a mess of words.
Cami has her life all figured out until Hunter waltzes in her life and changes everything. Hunter has secrets that he isn't willing to share. Clay is Cami's best friend who has been hiding some secrets of his own.
I really enjoyed this book but I thought Hunter's secret was quite obvious after a few chapters. Cami was slightly overbearing at times but overall she was a pretty likable character. I wish there would have been more development into Cami's and Hunter's relationship but it seemed okay. I wish we had more insight into Clay's character because we really didn't know anything about him despite him being Cami's best friend. It was very cliche but overall I thought it was a good quick read.
Ryan Hunter has been in love with Lisa Matthews since he first saw her. The only problem was that she was in love with his good friend Tony. When the opportunity comes for him to spend time with her he decides it's finally his chance.
I have to say that I enjoyed this book over Lisa's point of view, mainly because his interest in her goes deeper than simply the amount of years they had a friendship. He was a funny cute guy to read from. I honestly loved his ideas of romance, friendship, and family.
It was ok nothing spectacular. The characters were pretty flat and the plot could have been developed better. But overall it was an enjoyable easy read.
It was really good with they exception of a few typos. It was really predictable but it still had me turning the pages and wanting more. Overall it was good especially for a free book.
Overall I really enjoyed it, but I excepted way more character than I got. I thought it would focus more on her friendship rather than in the romance. I was a little disappointed because I've been wanting to read this book since forever but I still love Elizabeth Scott's books.
Maddie makes one decision to take a short cut and that decision changes her perspective for the rest of her novel.
I really enjoyed this novel, it was a quick and easy read that i just flew through. I wasn't particularly fond of Maddie sometimes I thought she made really idiotic decisions that led her to situations that could have been easily avoided. I thought the big reveal was completely obvious, I already saw the connection the moment the character reappeared in an “unlikely” situation. I went into this book with pretty low expectations so I found it pretty good.
This is a reread. It's just as good and easy to get through as the first time.
Merged review:
4.5* It was really good and Derek is just gahhhhh. I loved it.
2.5, since it wasn't really memorable* A short novella from the other love interest point of view, that wasn't really necessary. Honestly I didn't feel like this revealed much except how messed up the romance was between Leif and the main character, whose name I already forgot. Overall it was fine and a nice way to develop Leif but I would't pay money for it. If you enjoyed the first book and find this novella for free go ahead and read it.
