See allApart from the mumbo jumbo in ‘Book 3 Beyond Resistance' the book was good. When I read the foreword by Robert McKee I knew how I would feel about the last ‘book'/chapter and like him, I would still recommend the book to others (But would advise them to skip the last part completely). Although it could be boiled down a couple of sentences - ‘Stop not doing work. Start doing work.' it still motivated me to do work more than any other book with the same sentiment has.
I don't agree with many of Pressfield's points in the book and I think there is a lack of research on many points (Hitler's Art for example) but the general idea is a good one.
If you're willing to ignore the many faults in the book and listen to the overall concept, this book is a good kick up the bum for artist and writers alike.
