The first half of this book was really fucking difficult to get through. PLEASE CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS ON THIS BOOK BEFORE READING. I literally had to take a break about 40% in to read something lighthearted. It was just very intense. If you are triggered by non-con, for the love of god, do not read this book.
The second half of the book was still very intense, but in a different way. I can't say I fully understand Addie and Zane's love. Maybe because I haven't experienced something so intense like that in my life. I'm glad there was a happy ending for Addie and Zade, with loose threads for other stories to tie into this one, for Sibby and Rio.
Now to go read something easy and fun and not so goddamn dark. Phew.

This was so freaking cute... but also incredibly sexy and smutty as hell. I love a good monster romance! This is the first I've read between two non-humans though! I really enjoyed this. I'm usually not a fan of Christmas stories (and Christmas in general) but this was highly recommended by a few members of a spicy book group on Facebook, so I had to give it a go. Very glad I did cuz it might be one of my favorites for the year.

OH MAN. This book was fucking DARK. I knew what I was getting into due to hints from booktok and reading the novella. But I wasn't sure I was expecting that much. I'm not usually one to read horror or suspense, but this had just enough to keep me interested. Not to mention that the spice was SPICY!!! Definitely check the trigger warnings on this one, ya'll. And that cliffhanger?! UGH. Starting Hunting Adeline ASAP!!!
This novella was insane. I'm not a huge horror reader, so it took a bit to get into the right headspace. I'm glad I read this before starting Haunting Adeline, though. Sibby is nuts, but in the best way. I can't wait to see Zade's perspective of her when she shows up in HA. The ending literally made me put my kindle down for a minute and just think. Then go back and reread passages. Books almost never make me do that. I didn't expect that ending AT ALL.
I've been looking forward to reading this book since finding Mariel's Instagram. I enjoyed it. I liked the story, but they world building felt a bit clumsy, and I was confused for a good portion of the book. I had to continually reference the index at the beginning of the book for translations which would sometimes take me out of the story. Also that cliffhanger is killing me!
Yet another great menage romance from Katee Robert! I was confused throughout the book about the faction system, but near the middle, I just decided to think of it like rivaling gangs. Lol. Hot spice and exciting plot. I am hesitant to read Broderick because this series is on hold and I don't want book blueballs.
DNF @ 29%.
I wanted to like this book. It has a great narrator. However, I got 29% into the audiobook before realizing I was forcing myself to get through it, and that's when I know it's time to DNF. TBQH, I wish the author had left out the “Before” chapters, or at least shortened them. I wanted to see more action in the present apocalyptic world, not the beginning where Red, who I grew to loathe, and her family were just starting their journey.
I snuck a peek at a few reviews here on GoodReads and seeing that the ending was rushed, was the final nail in the coffin for me. I'd rather DNF now than be pissed off at a shitty ending, feeling like I'd wasted my time with this book.
