4.5 stars
This was a fun read! I typically do not care for regency/historical fiction, but because Belladonna had such good suspense, ghosts, and a murder mystery, it was so enjoyable. The narrator for the audiobook had a lovely accent which made it easy to listen to.
As for the characters, I liked Signa (which is a surprise since I usually grow to hate YA FMCs) but Death was 100% the best character in the book.
My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more romance! I can't wait for Foxglove.
This WOULD have been a five-star review... but the surprise near the end almost fucking ruined it for me. I personally hate the surprise pregnancy trope. I do love a HEA but goddammit, I was having such a good time with Sara and Z's budding relationship. The spice was HOT as hell throughout this book, as Katee Robert always delivers on that front.
