Highly thought-provoking, especially in our current age of mass media bombardment. While the age of TV has been usurped by that of the computer and smartphone nowadays, the dependency on screens and rejection of intellectual pursuits as shown in the novel closely mirror that of our current technological era.

Discomfortingly relatable in the matters of loneliness, isolation and suicidal ideation. While the manner women are spoken of in this is deplorable and unkind, all other aspects made me feel almost ill when comparing it to myself.
