This is such a cute little book. The poem is really charming and I love the touchable parts on each page!
Never logged this one. Coco is pretty much my son's favorite movie, and this book is a pretty good condensation of the film. The little remote with light and sound is fun and adds a little extra to the story.
Read for the first time in a year:

Overall I really enjoyed this! I saw the movie years ago but remembered hardly anything about it. Taylor's writing is really excellent and the story was well done. I thought it dragged on a bit long (I sat on the last 50 pages for a week...) but in the end I think it had to end the way it did. Angel was really interesting and awful in turns and I really liked watching her life unfold from fifteen to approximately sixty-five. I look forward to reading more of Taylor's work.
I really enjoyed this! A book about books, what's not to enjoy? And about women writers and not well known ones... it's excellent. I've added so many books to my various wish lists too! So many are available free online, and others are put out by amazing companies like Virago and Persephone (I wonder why? ;) )
I loved how the book chapters were each on a theme, and I was able to read most chapters in just a few days. The themes are what caused me to stall out for so long though - I just wasn't interested in the psychoanalysis chapter. I'm sure other people enjoyed that one though, so, nothing against the book in that regard. My favorites were probably the chapters on feminism and love and romance; Beauman's afterword was really interesting too - I loved the reflection on how the book was written and what she thinks of it after many years.
Apparently I never logged this one. My son has been loving animals lately so we've gone back to a lot of his animal books. He loves the baby animals and the flaps in this one.
Cute little adaptation of Dumbo. The pictures are great. The story leaves some of the movie out but it's sweet.
This is a fun Daniel Tiger book. My son likes pointing everyone out and playing with the wheels.
Oh this was so good. I completely understand why it's a classic, and wish I hadn't waited so long to read it. It's such a roller coaster of a story; I thought it was going to go a hundred different ways before the end. So well done.
My son really likes this, so I like it for that reason too. The story is kinda weird though, so.
I really enjoyed this, despite how long it took me to read. Some of the pieces are dated and uneven, some are really interesting, but the comments after each are really excellent even if the articles aren't.
Never logged this, oops.
This is pretty cute. It has good rhymes and nice pictures. Poor Hooper though.
This was okay. My son liked it. It's not really about relaxing but rather, almost, making due with what's around you - which is good too.
This is such a fun, weird book. Some pages work better than others though, but it's all enjoyable.
This was a good retelling of this story. The illustrations really made it though; they're gorgeous.
This was really interesting. As someone very interested in the between-the-wars years, this book sheds light on why there wasn't that period in much of Eurasia. Thinking about it, of course I know about the Russian revolution and knew a little about Greece and Italy, but this book really brings home the point that there wasn't a between-the-wars period except in the US and England.
I got pretty far in this actually, but my library loan was running out and I had too much left... It's so dense, and there's so much information, it really deserves a better, slower read, and I just don't have that in me at this point. I'll try again in the future.
This is pretty cute. My son really likes playing with the felt flaps and looking at himself in the mirror.
