For those of you who, like me, loved the movie (despite some cheesy parts) this is just the book for you.
It is, simply put, the book version of the movie! You can actually “listen” to the soundtrack in some passages (without ever turning on your music player).
Very good and a good gift for the Interstellar fan!
Another great trilogy by Nora Roberts.
Between this one and the Circle Trilogy, I have to say this one is even better.
Probably because Ireland is awesome and you can really see it, and smell it, as you go along.
Having lived there for a year, I have to say this book brought me a lot of fond memories. And a very strong earning to become a witch (if I could!) ;)
Good choice if you want a beautiful romance book, with lots of great food and craic!
As always, great book by Brandon Sanderson!
I was really happy to read that there is still one more to go in this Mistborn Series.
While I wait for that I think I might have to re-read the original Mistborn Trilogy, as well as this one!
A must-read!
Not only it is an enlightening read about life as an astronaut, it is also an extremely inspiring and upbeat guide to life, no matter what you do, or aspire to do.
I've always admired Chris Hadfield for his work promoting space science, but now I want to listen to him talk all day about all the interesting things he has seen and done, both on Earth and in space.
A journey I must advise everyone else take!
A very quick read, I managed this in one afternoon!
Interesting characters and a quite a lovely love story.
There had to be a reason this book won all the awards this year...
It is that good!
I recommend it to anyone who loves sci-fi, and even those who are not so sure!
And amazing, original, novel!
Ok so, this series is awesome! (tho Mistborn is still my favourite)But I've got to say, this book was a bit confusing and had too many tangled lines throughout.I don't know if it was the fact that I listened to it on audiobook instead of reading it, but I got a little lost with all the different factions involved, and the fact that you don't really know what the hell they want or why!Of course a lot of it is explained in the ending, but even more questions arise .Also, can I say SPOILER ALERT: Sadeas just dies like that?!? Really?! I mean, don't get me wrong, he's an asshole and I'm glad he died, but I was hoping for a bit more humiliation and confession and kick-ass from the good guys! Anyway...As usual, Sanderson's magic systems are pretty cool and the worldbuilding is awesomely epic!I still prefer the first book in this series ([b:The Way of Kings 7235533 The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1) Brandon Sanderson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388184640s/7235533.jpg 8134945]) but this one definitely left me yearning for the final one!!
If you love The Guild, read this!
If you're a fan of Felicia Day, read this!
If you want to learn about web-series creation, read this!
If you want to know more about creating stuff in general, read this!
So, just read this! It's awesome!
Ok, so it's not as good as Ready Player One, but then again that would be hard to top!
It is still awesome and you should read it!
Massive D20 Alien in the end? Super awesome!
As with most collections of short-stories I've read, there were some great ones and some more indifferent ones.
I didn't get the feeling for the Lost Worlds the title indicated in some of these stories, but if you enjoy some of the authors listed give this a read!
I am sure you'll find something to enjoy.
Amazing book!
I'm glad there are so many more to follow!
If they're anything like this one I'll be entertained for a loooong time!
Another amazing book by [a:Brandon Sanderson 38550 Brandon Sanderson https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1394044556p2/38550.jpg]!!And you can even read the first version of it for free at his website (http://brandonsanderson.com/books/warbreaker/warbreaker/). Just check it out to find out more.If you love Sanderson's work, read this!If you want to start his works, but have no idea where, read this!If you just want a good epic fantasy book (without a million sequels that you're gonna need to read afterwards), read this! It's a win-win situation ;)
As always, Karen M. Moning does not disappoint.
Another thrilling book to fill the hole Mac and Barrons have left behind since Shadowfever.
These books are such fast reads and I just can't put them down!
Maybe it's because of the first-person PoV, but you just can't help floundering behind Mac, as she tries to navigate this complicated world, where nothing is as it seems, and no one ever tells you everything.
She is always just catching up to what's really going on, and so are you.
I recommend this series to everyone looking for a great Urban Fantasy story.
So, I read all the fairy tales when I was a kid and I seriously don't remember them being this “grim” (pardon the pun).
Of course, the children versions of these are much more tame and a lot of the gory details are left out, of course.
It's still very cool to read the “original” versions as an adult and really get a sense for these folk tales!
But if you're the kind of person that get upset at the amount of people George R.R. Martin kills off in his books, then don't read these!
I'll leave you with the example of the “The Death of the Little Hen” which end with: “...and then everyone was dead.”
