Parte I

Ok, this book was hard to rate... At The beginning I thought that this would be like “Adam” but then I knew that I was wrong. I really love Ted's books but this one was too sweet for me. I didn't like Paradise at all and I hated her relationship with Brad. By other side, I like The Bride Collector, his story, motivations, everything. I liked Roudy and the others but I couldn't stand Paradise. Otherwise, the message was excellent!
Let me tell you something: I knew this free ebook will release today, so yesterday I preordered it and then I went to sleep... Well, almost. I couldn't wait anymore so today I woke up at 4 a.m. and started reading.
And...
If this is how [bc:The Legend of Sheba: Rise of a Queen 18775438 The Legend of Sheba Rise of a Queen Tosca Lee https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1400948720s/18775438.jpg 26680579] is gonna be, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it too.
Actually, is 2.5
Uhmm... There were some things that I didn't like about this book. Mostly about the characters. It was hard to understand how can you be in love with someone that you almost know, so I hated Lewis. I didn't like Aaron as well, but I think that he's a good villain.
I hated Emily, Cameron's grandma and... in conclusion: all the characters.
But I have to admit that this book was so freaking addictive!!! I'm not quite sure if I'm going to continue reading this series, but I'm glad that I've found it free on Kindle. Was good for some light reading.
I read [bc:The Beloved Daughter 17798886 The Beloved Daughter Alana Terry https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1365989786s/17798886.jpg 24898533] while I was listening this audiobook and they complement each other, however you can read it separately.
This is a great guide to understand what is happening to Christians in the world. Many times, we think that persecution is an old issue and now it doesn't longer exist, however with this daily devotional lessons, you learn to be grateful for the freedom and acceptance that we have for our faith, as elsewhere, there is only rejection and hatred of Christianity.
But all is not lost, we can do something for those modern martyrs: pray. Even if you are not a Christian, this book can help you see that behind our faith there is a real God and not just fanaticism.
Alana Terry knows how to express the realism and cruelty, without exaggerating the facts and presenting them as they are. I'm anxious to know about her new publications.

A small book with a great message.
I usually don't read book for kids but this one caught my attention because of the tittle. The story is quite simple but it's beautifully written in an understandable way. I loved how the author explains angels and how she uses children's questions to answer important issues. Did I mention the book's illustrations?
I have not read other books by her but I'm quite sure I'll be checking them.

Better have an eye on this author, because SHE ROCKS!
This was my reaction when I recieved the book:
If [bc:War Kids 23301112 War Kids H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1412330693s/23301112.jpg 42443212] was great, this one is even BETTER!
The first chapters were shocking, because of the sexual abuse, but I think that those scenes were necessary to understand the personality of the characters. There are new characters that provide a hole new perspective of the war, and I have to admit that I really like the villain... His motivations are understandable.
I definitely wasn't expecting the new war and how apocalyptic the story became.
Did I say apocalyptic? Yeah, I did!
This is a series that I'll love to see in a movie (a great adaptation of course, not the boring movie based on the first 50 pages).
It's a fast reading but It'll be in your head for DAYS!
And my question for the author is WHEN IS THE NEW BOOK COMING OUT??? I want need the new book because that ending was...
The next thing I'm going to do is get a paperback :)

This is one of those short stories that are too short because they make you think it is the beginning of an incredible novel, but then it ends and leaves you wanting more... Yeah, the deception...
But please, don't misunderstand me because I really liked it. The narration is great and it has a lot of action and the characters were very well constructed.
Something that I really loved is the reference to characters from another book by this author -wich I won't say because of the spoilers- and I'm quite sure if you have enjoyed her previous books, you'll love this short story too.
But if you haven't read any of her books... I mean, what are you waiting for??

In their youth, John and Hope got married without thinking it through, and afterwards, she repented and an online minister promised he would not send the forms and they wouldn't be legally married.
Ten years later, Hope accidentally learns that is not necessary to send the papers to be married. For years John had left town, but decided to return to settle in the place where he grew up; and better match, staying with Aunt Hope, Verna, who is like a mother to him. With all the emotions that come to her, Hope he doesn't know what to do because their your case an annulment isn't possible. The only way out is divorce, but she doesn't believe in divorce.
This story, aside from being quite tender and romantic, shows the reality of a couple going through a very unusual situation. The characters have different personalities, which sometimes collide because they fail to understand. But not all is tension and drama. Characters like Amity, Verna or Dan, make this story funny and totally adictive.
Furthermore, this short novel is set at Christmas and so is doubly special.
Although this book is very addictive and easy to read, was pretty predictable for me. However I recommend it.
-I recieved a free eBook through BookLookBloggers but this fact didn't influence the review-
This book is very different from the previous ones that I had read from Frank Peretti, because there are no angels or demons, neither dragons but a lot of journalistic chaos and a lot of description of the management of the TV. It was a very realistic story about the day in journalism, about how the information operate and the power groups. I found the characters most human and real (despite the supernatural gift of John Barrett) and as always, Frank Peretti makes every good story has a good message. I totally recommend it.
I like all of Ted Dekker's books but I have to be honest and say that at first, this book didn't caught me but as I progress in reading, I loved it! Emotions overwhelm me as if I had drunk the blood ... No, I'm kidding. But it was very interesting and it showed the combination of both writers. An excellent book.
