This book is about decisions, politics and relationship with God. It's a funny novel and easy to read. There are a lot of stuffs that make you think about your own life and I think that it's a kind of book of reflexions more than a novel.
I'm not sure about this rate...
First of all, an embarrasing fact: I had no idea who Evel Knievel was... Until I read this book.
Yeah... Please don't judge me -I wasn't even born in that year!-
So when I read this story, I found it really enjoyable and I actually loved it! Pick was an adorable character. I really could feel his excitement and I could see me with him being in the middle of that event and sharing his joy and sorrows. So I rate Evel Knievel jumps the Snake River Canyon story with 5 stars.
My problem is with the other stories... I coudn't connect with the characters or their stories either. I felt really bored and disappointed because I loved the Pick's story, so I rate the other stories with 2 stars.
using maths The total average rate of the book would be 2.5, but for me it's closer to 3.
However I still recommend this book because is quite enjoyable.
I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the author for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I was very excited because I thought that Stephen King was a scary writer and the reading would be exciting, but it was rather dramatic and very depressing. For a moment, I felt very lost in the language of the fairground and at times it became somewhat incomprehensible, but I liked the story development. Although I would have preferred to have more mystery and terror. However, I enjoyed it and it was great.
Ok...

Do you know what happens with short-stories? That they are short... Sometimes TOO SHORT.
This book was quite great and I really liked it. However i have a big problem with the ending... I guess that this is a prequel, secuel -or whatever- to [bc:Guy Erma and the Son of Empire|23126362|Guy Erma and the Son of Empire|Sally Ann Melia|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1409476999s/23126362.jpg|42674702]
If I'm right, it'll be great to read the next adventure.

Espero leer pronto [bc:Soberano 18383495 Soberano Ted Dekker https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1378070520s/18383495.jpg 18116554]
Real rating: 3.5
First of all, I know that it's my fault, only my fault -and I accept it- that I didn't know that this was the second book in a trilogy!! I know, I know... It's embarrassing...
That's the reason why I couldn't enjoy this book as much as I'd like. The story was really great but I felt lost at the beginning because, you know, -obviously- IT WAS THE SECOND!!
If I read the first book, I'll come back, read again, understand this story better and propably I'll give a higher rating.
However, -as I said before- this novel is quite great.
I received a free eBook from Netgalley but this fact didn't influence the review.
I was totally excited for this book because is the third in the War Kids series. The second one, [b:Survive The Day 23280079 Survive The Day H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411951951s/23280079.jpg 42818375], left me desperately wanting more.
So, remembering the previous books, I think that they both had more mystery than this one. HOWEVER, in this book I found more action and war parts, which is great because it fits perfectly with the storyline.
The characters evolved and madured, and I think that the war brought out the best and worst of them.
Now, you know what happens with wars... People die!!! and those parts were really touching although I think that the characters took it really well... I mean, If I were them, I could not even move after so much tragedy!
But now my mind is totally stuck with [bc:Purenet 23976764 Purenet H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1419092913s/23976764.jpg 43579099] I don't know how War Kids is going to end and how this ending will fit with the story of Purenet.
And by other side... After I finished reading, my eyes look like this:
So, thanks [a:H.J. Lawson 8396176 H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1412379147p2/8396176.jpg] for giving me this book, but also for playing tricks with my mind with those shocking endings :)
This book is really really weird! I mean, I liked the beginning and how the story unfolded, but there were some things that I found curious: first talk about reincarnation, then on pain of a father losing his son and finally on child trafficking. Although the story was entertaining, I did not like the ending. However, the novel is very easy to read and is great to hang out.
Just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, now this one had mystery! I think this is getting better and better. This book is just marvelous. Totally recommended!
Debut de Adrián Fonseca que promete una serie muy interesante. Espero que el siguiente libro supere a Ichtus, porque el final fue el principio para otra novela más.
This story reminded me a little of “A Scandal in Bohemia” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle because both have the same idea but Poe has a style quite different and that makes it unique.
A NEW WINNER BY H. J. LAWSON!!!
Yesterday, I started reading this book, thinking that I could read the book halfway and leave the other half for the next day, BUT, oh dear! At this point I should already know that H. J. Lawson's books are EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE!! So I spent my night reading this incredible dystopian and I'm glad I did.
I was a kind of tired of the famous dystopias because they become very predictable and I usually lose interest... But this one:
I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!
The story is AMAZING. The world is a place where I'd love to live (even knowing that there's a lot of evil around) and the characters... I mean, they are super interesting that I think I love them all (Yes, Xander, that includes you!).
It's a very fast reading and every part is very captivating. I found out a HUGE SURPRISE in the Author's note and it was a PLUS for me, so I loved this book even more.
I already told this story to my sister (she doesn't speak English) and she loved it as much as I did.
So, forget all the famous dystopias that you think are great... Purenet is BETTER!!
NOTE: I'm dying to know what happens next!!!
Thanks to the author for providing me this copy. This fact didn't influence the review.
Gotta be honest. At the beginning I was lost.
“Am I really reading The Sanction series? Is this a continuation of Purenet?”
That's why it took me so long to read it: Because after the first pages, I give myself a break to remember Purenet and try to connect it with Aurum.
BUT after I decided to try again, I was sooo relieved that Trinity -the new character- was really cool to catch up and it was really easy to like her.
As always, this book was fast, fun and with a lot of suspense; and although I was expecting Skylier and her family, I enjoyed Dax's point of view and his adventures with Trinity.
Aurum has open new possibilities and questions that I don't know how are they going to be resolved, but until now, this series is getting better and better!!
Also, it was pretty captivating to know more about the world and how it works. I know that they are a lot of Sanctions, so I hope to meet each of them :)

I was so excited about reading this because I wanted to change my way of seeing the conflict between Israelies and Palestinians. I thought that this book will help me to do that. Well, I wasn't too wrong...
It supposed to be a exchange letters between two friends but at the beginning, I felt like they were fighting with kindness. That kind of fightings that you do with all respect you can to don't hurt the other person. However, I didn't understand why they had to question each other for things their ancestors did, and which they did not have any guilt. I've never been in their situation but I guess that if you're friend of somebody, you don't you don't ask about the past and conflicts of your countries... But then I realized that must be hard to be in their position, so I don't want to judge.
But what I did like about this story, was the fact that they try to understand each other, talking about their culture, customs and family. When I read this book, I feel like I'm watching both sides of the story, two different ways of seeing and understanding their experiences, and two friends who changed their perspective about each other.
So... Why did I put only three stars? Because I did like this book as much as it made me feel anger. In spite of it, it's a good reading -not fast or page-turned- but enjoyable.
I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the author for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
Ok, let's be honest. Reading the plot I knew that this couldn't end in just ONE book, and I said: ‘If I like it, I'll buy the next book'
But you know what? I didn't like it... I LOVED IT!! This is one of the best books I've ever read!!!
I'm so freaking in love with this book that I can't even imagine how will be the next one! So I can't help asking to the author:
Why giving me away a free book if I have to wait until [bc:Survive The Day 23280059 Survive The Day (War Kids, #2) H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411951167s/23280059.jpg 42818375] is released?
Yeah... I know... I ‘m being a little bit dramatic, but it's because I really really love this book.
Although the story is about Jada, there are more characters that give suspense to the story. Also it's very interesting how they are connected with each other, even without knowing it.
There are many exciting surprises and unexpected twists that I didn't anticipate and I'm very pleased for that.
I recommend this book for everyone who enjoys a good reading... This book is definitely worth it.
(I have a new favourite author! yay!)
A HUUUUGE thanks to the author for providing me this copy. I won this through a Goodreads giveaway but this fact didn't influence the review.
I wanted to hate this book but unfortunately I couldn't.
I never really liked the main characters -Kate, Mac and even Nick- and also I was sick and tired of the sex scenes.
The only reason why I kept reading the two previous books was because of the publishing world and the narrative. The author is amazing and I love her shorts but deep chapters and I couldn't help but love the writing style. Also, the story was really well constructed and very unpredictable.
Although I didn't enjoyed the main characters, I did love Viviene, Ruth Ann, Grace and of course, Allan, and everytime they where on scene, I celebrated:
And -again- even when I didn't like Nick too much, I was Team Nick because I really hated Mac so I was relief when the ending came.
Recently, I read on the author's blog that she's thinking of writing a book about Viviene, and if so, I'll be definitely give it a try because Viviene is just such a great character and she deserves her own book.
I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the author for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
In conclusion: I liked it as much as I didn't. So I can't say it was terrible, but it'd be a lie if I say they're the best books ever. Was good for hanging out but wasn't memorable.
A funny funny book! I've never expected to laugh out loud with this one but I did and I'm pleased. I'm not a mom but I think that everybody can enjoy this hilarious story.
My favorite devotional by far!!!
I love Sherlock, so this book was perfect for me. I loved how the author connect Holmes' cases with the Bible and God. It was a refreshing and a blessed reading.
What a pleasant reading!
I'm very into this kind of books, so I enjoy the story. The only thing was that I couldn't relate to the roman mythology so I was a little bit lost. However, I recommend this for every book lover! :)
