I can't help but love this book and all its characters.
I'm the kind of person who enjoys reading and living the books, that's why I usually end up laughing or crying aloud... That's why I usually feel kind of embarrassed because people see me as a total freak. And that's WHY I didn't read this in public...
At home I was laughing and laughing because of Bash and Beamer, and how crazy their adventures were. I'm totally in love with this book and I'm committed to continue the series to the end.
I was totally excited for this book because is the third in the War Kids series. The second one, [b:Survive The Day 23280079 Survive The Day H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411951951s/23280079.jpg 42818375], left me desperately wanting more.
So, remembering the previous books, I think that they both had more mystery than this one. HOWEVER, in this book I found more action and war parts, which is great because it fits perfectly with the storyline.
The characters evolved and madured, and I think that the war brought out the best and worst of them.
Now, you know what happens with wars... People die!!! and those parts were really touching although I think that the characters took it really well... I mean, If I were them, I could not even move after so much tragedy!
But now my mind is totally stuck with [bc:Purenet 23976764 Purenet H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1419092913s/23976764.jpg 43579099] I don't know how War Kids is going to end and how this ending will fit with the story of Purenet.
And by other side... After I finished reading, my eyes look like this:
So, thanks [a:H.J. Lawson 8396176 H.J. Lawson https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1412379147p2/8396176.jpg] for giving me this book, but also for playing tricks with my mind with those shocking endings :)
This book is not the typical fast-paced mystery book that you could expect. This story unfolds slowly, because the mystery is building in pieces. However, even the most insignificant conversation can be the key piece to solve the mystery at the end.
As in the books of Agatha Christie, in this novel the most important is the development of the characters and their psychology because by reading it, you realize that the mystery is not easy to solve and there is always a surprise after another.
The final revelation of the identity of the murderer left me very shocked because I had no idea it was that person. Also, I like how the other mysteries surrounding the entire complex case is resolved.
The romance added a plus to the story and I loved how faith played an important role in the story.
The main characters are enjoyable and I'm looking forward to read them in their next adventure.

Being honest: I enjoyed this book. I really did... BUT, -yeah, there is a but-
I don't agree with the author in some little aspects, maybe because we're from different cultures and we live in totally different realities.
HOWEVER, -as I said- I really enjoyed this book. Was funny, pretty honest and make me smile in some references that I completely understand -I mean, we're singles, right?-.
Although this may seem like a book for desperate singles, you don't have to be one for read this book.
It helped me to see my singleness in a very different way and also to understand how other people see it too, so at the end, it left me full of hope.
So, I recommend this book to all those 13 year old who think they are old and they're never going to fell in love; and also for those 80 year old who think they're never going to get married.

A NEW WINNER BY H. J. LAWSON!!!
Yesterday, I started reading this book, thinking that I could read the book halfway and leave the other half for the next day, BUT, oh dear! At this point I should already know that H. J. Lawson's books are EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE!! So I spent my night reading this incredible dystopian and I'm glad I did.
I was a kind of tired of the famous dystopias because they become very predictable and I usually lose interest... But this one:
I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!
The story is AMAZING. The world is a place where I'd love to live (even knowing that there's a lot of evil around) and the characters... I mean, they are super interesting that I think I love them all (Yes, Xander, that includes you!).
It's a very fast reading and every part is very captivating. I found out a HUGE SURPRISE in the Author's note and it was a PLUS for me, so I loved this book even more.
I already told this story to my sister (she doesn't speak English) and she loved it as much as I did.
So, forget all the famous dystopias that you think are great... Purenet is BETTER!!
NOTE: I'm dying to know what happens next!!!

Real rating: 3.5
First of all, I know that it's my fault, only my fault -and I accept it- that I didn't know that this was the second book in a trilogy!! I know, I know... It's embarrassing...
That's the reason why I couldn't enjoy this book as much as I'd like. The story was really great but I felt lost at the beginning because, you know, -obviously- IT WAS THE SECOND!!
If I read the first book, I'll come back, read again, understand this story better and propably I'll give a higher rating.
However, -as I said before- this novel is quite great.

I absolutely love this book!
I have never had the time for think about all the historical context in which Esther lived, but this book was Eye-opener and I could imagine her story and really feel it.
I cannot highly recommend this book.

Ok...

I read Ted Dekker for more than three years ago and I've never been disappointed. His novels, besides being very interesting, have the peculiarity of make me doubt of everything around me and makes me wonder about my beliefs.
During this time I realized Ted developments, both in his writing and in his message. The last books he has published delve much deeper issues than the first -but that does not diminish the quality of any of them- and his books have become full of more hope.
Each time Ted Dekker releases a new book, I don't need to know the book's plot to want to buy it because I know that I will like it. However, when I finally got my hands on AD 30, I was very surprised because was an historical novel.
The history of Maviah made me remind myself. Maviah belongs to the lowest of society, rejected by all and feels she has brought nothing but disgrace to her family. She doesn't believe to be worthy of love or forgiveness or compassion. When I got to know this complex character, I almost saw myself reflected because sometimes I feel that I'm not worthy to merit the sacrifice of Yeshua and that reach his love is something that I don't deserve. In Maviah I could see my own doubts and prejudices, so I was pleased to accompany her during her journey.
This trip also allowed me to meet a very different Yeshua to which I had become accustomed. Much more loving, merciful and peaceful. I could almost feel being present at that time; and despite the difference in years between the time of Yeshua and our era, I think the problems and conflicts remain the same.
It took a little time reading this novel because I had to examine me myself and see the aspects that should correct about my beliefs about Yeshua.
I think the 15 years that Ted Dekker has taken to write this book, have been worth it. I hope everyone can read this wonderful book and share the good news that Yeshua preached from the beginning.

Wow! Wow!... WOW!!!
Lately GoodReads giveaways have been good to me for I have come to know some cool authors and their great books.
I usually don't read anything with dragon as a main theme, but this one was... awesome!
I could do a list with all the things that I liked of this book but it'd be too long because I loved EVERYTHING of this novel!
The characters are really great and the story is page-turned so I could barely take my eyes off the book. The story is original and I couldn't predict what would happen next... Every page was a total surprise!
I only have one problem: the ending...
I mean, it's not really a problem it's just that I hate to wait for the next book, because I'm totally out of my mind trying to guess what's going to happen in the next book.
So, please dear author, don't make me suffer any longer and publish Danny Dirks and the Heir of Mordred very soon... Please!
I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the author for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
I'm not sure about this rate...
First of all, an embarrasing fact: I had no idea who Evel Knievel was... Until I read this book.
Yeah... Please don't judge me -I wasn't even born in that year!-
So when I read this story, I found it really enjoyable and I actually loved it! Pick was an adorable character. I really could feel his excitement and I could see me with him being in the middle of that event and sharing his joy and sorrows. So I rate Evel Knievel jumps the Snake River Canyon story with 5 stars.
My problem is with the other stories... I coudn't connect with the characters or their stories either. I felt really bored and disappointed because I loved the Pick's story, so I rate the other stories with 2 stars.
using maths The total average rate of the book would be 2.5, but for me it's closer to 3.
However I still recommend this book because is quite enjoyable.

It's known that each book is a journey, but this one has been a wild journey full of surprises.
I was highly impressed to know that the film is based on the Song of Solomon, from the Bible. Personally, I never found much appeal in this book and so far it seemed a little irrelevant for me, however The song made me realize that there's more than verses and rhymes in the words of Solomon, and they can teach us about the love that God designed.
The main theme of this novel is love, but also about the music industry and all the surrounding environment. This story provokes many emotions and it's almost impossible to read just a few pages because the author describes the scenes in such detail that makes you dive into the world of the characters and make you feel like you are actually in Sharon.
From the characters there is much we can learn from both their successes and their mistakes; and to be honest, these different personalities provoked me a lot of different feelings -Shelby for example, who I almost hated- but also helped me to see different perspectives.
Because romance is in the air, there's a lot of the relationships between couples and what happens after marriage even when everything seems to be failing. So more than being just a novel, is an excellent book for those who want to see the real love and understand God's plans.
The narrative is sincere, honest and openly; and invites us to reflect.
Whether you're single or married this book will help you understand God's greatest gift to humanity: love.

Hannah is 15 and has everything she wants. His father and mother work in politics, but the whole year they're away from home and only visit Hannah twice a year: Christmas and summer. During this time, Hannah has lived with her grandmother, who seems to not sympathize much with her. For this Christmas, Hannah's mother announces that she will not go to see her and also gives a shocking news: she says that her real father is not the man with whom she grew up.
And Hannah begins to search for her real father, a pilot for the Air Force, who has been an gone in a suicidal mission in Iraq.
I like books that are at special occasions, and of course, Christmas is my favorite time of year; so when I find a novel that is set in this special date, I do not hesitate to take a look.
I know Karen Kingsbury is a renowned author and her books have been best-sellers, but I had never read her books before and honestly I'm glad that this is my first book by her because I really liked it.
This novel is very sweet and dramatic. It tells a story full of deep love and hope; and shows us that miracles happen around us and perhaps we do not realize, also focuses on the importance of believing in what we pray because our prayers are nothing if we do not believe in what we are saying .
Something I really loved about this story, was to realize that sometimes our actions mean something to us, but others may take it differently. Sometimes the characters are driven by their own prejudices and fail to discover the truth for miscommunication.
For me, reading this story was like being on a journey full of surprises, drama and a great ending. I'm quite sure that I'll look for more Karen Kingsbury's books in the future.

I'M OFFICIALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES!
Travis Thrasher is one of those rare authors who can write a lot of genres and do it astonishingly well, but with this series he's just made it!
I loved Marvelous and I was quite sure that this book would be even better and I was so right! The narrative was incredible great and I love how Brandon tells the story and I could feel his feelings and get into his mind, wich is pretty unusual, but I'm so into the story that I can't stop thinking about what will happen next.
Something that I really loved too, was the important topics covered in this book. it's not only a GOOD book to hang out with but a novel that makes you think about life and makes you more aware of things that sometimes we think are important, when maybe they are not.
I'll definitely buy more books of this author because he has captivated me completely.
