My head is in its place, right? Because who knows, maybe Denny has changed something in the past and I've become an human without a head...
This book is mind blowing! I love time travel and I really hate clichés, but this novel only had surprises since the first page.
Denny is a very lonely character, so that was kinda odd. However, I understand he's a reader so I get the point :)
The story was delightful and a pleasure to read. I connected with the story pretty quickly and i knew there was something special about this book...
And why didn't I give it a shinny 5 stars?
Because of the weird -and I mean- WEIRD romance. I can't believe you can be kissing someone after just a few days of meeting, and not happy with kissing, you're able to risk your life for that person... Really?? I know it's fiction but that was waaaaay beyond unreal! I like to read about couples that can exist in real life, and the romance in this book totally disappointed me.
Another thing that kept me away from the 5 stars was the ending. I don't know if there will be another book, but I think it should!
Anyway, at the end, I really liked this book. It was a nice, entertaining, full of surprises story with a different and unique side of dystopian, so I truly recommend this one!
I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the publisher for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
It's just me or Travis Thrasher book goals is making me cry?
Well, he's almost made it, but I'm still strong and keeping my tears for myself :)
This adaptation was really really great. I admire how the characters combine so perfect at the end but you still can read about them separately in each chapter.
I seriously can't wait to see the movie!
First half of the book: 2 stars Last half of the book: 4 stars.
I was so hyped about this book that I wanted to buy the whole series, but I decided to try this one first and... And I'm not quite sure. I didn't like any of the characters but Canaan and Helena. I couldn't relate to Brielle or even Jake, so the story was quite of boring. However I'm intrigued about some plot twists at the end and MAYBE I'll be reading the whole trilogy :)
I read the synopsis and I thought: “They'll kick demons since the first chapters”
But that didn't happen...
Instead, there were aliens and a crazy conspiracy theory. The beginning was slow and I was kind of disapointed, but I kept listening to the audiobook and I loved it!!
This book is stunning. I'm starting to love the series, although it wasn't what I was expecting.
The message is great and I loved the characters. They felt so real and I could easily feel related to them.
I have the audiobook and I usually don't like when male narrators make women's voices because it's quite weird. However this one was dramatized and I couldn't take my headphones off.
Just a friendly remminder: Don't listen to the audiobook in public... You may embarrass yourself laughing and screaming like a crazy :)
NEW UPDATE
It seems like everyone likes making comparisons, so I'll do one too: Rachelle Dekker is like another author I've just know... I think her name was Rachelle and her last name Dekker.
I was hanging out on Tyndale's website when I saw this book, and I couldn't help going crazy because I love dystopian.
And then it happened: I saw the Dekker name.
But honestly, I like Rachelle's book because of her and not for her father. They both are great writers but I think Rachelle has a unique style and she has come to stay!
Something that I absolutely love about the story was the characters. In almost every page I was:
And that's the main reason why I LOVE THIS BOOK!
This isn't just an interesting dystopian book. It is an statement of freedom, a path that we have to follow, a journey we all have to do, and that's why this novel was so personal and profound that I can't even explain it.
And yeah, I know that it was a little bit predictable -the killer's identity- but I enjoyed the rest of the book so much that I didn't care about that minor thing.
I usually like to read the whole series, so I don't have to be fangirling all the time, but I'll do my best to behave well and not fall into despair.
I absolutely recommend this book and I hope we can all continue this journey together.

Dear Sir. Dellosso:
Where have you been all my life?
Man-oh-man! I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
Every time I went to my recommendations on Goodreads and Amazon, Mike Dellosso's name came out, and I always knew I had to read one of his books and I supposed I could like them... However, I didn't know how much!
This book is so perfect that I'm fangirling right now. Anyway, the thing is that I'm so excited because I think I've found a new fav author!
-I recieved a book from Tyndale Blog Network in exchange for my honest opinion but this fact didn't influence the review-
