Was kinda slow/boring in the beginning but then I was INVESTED!!!! Couldn't put it down and spent whole night on it. Rowan and Neil literally have my heart π₯Ήπ©·
It started out pretty slow and couldn't grab my interest but man Frederick Backman's writing style is just something else. Sometimes it felt like there were too many stories going on but towards the end I was all in, he has this ability of making you fall in love with every character and I guess not everyone's completely shit or completely non-shit β€οΈ

So much to say about this one, Holly Bourne does it again. The writing style, dual pov, the terms used, everything was beautifully written. Really makes you think how girls are raised in this world and how deep rooted all these things are. Surely by the end you know this isn't some dystopian fictional town but rather just any other place of our own world. All of us women lead lives similar to this everywhere.
Some moments felt a little preachy maybe and Belle and Joni's becoming the best of friends felt a little too sudden to me, other than that loved every single thing.
And the ending oh my God, LOVE LOVE LOVED IT, so happy that it wasn't all perfect at the end, magically making everything good, always appreciate realistic endings, specially for books like these <3
I was expecting something deep/serious. This felt childish at points and Malin's thoughts didn't feel like that of a 14 year oldΒ
I have mixed feelings on this one, was expecting way more. Idk it was the writing style or what but till the end I didn't feel that connected to the characters as I usually do. The book didn't make me feel that much, considering almost everyone died and the narrator wasn't even real, I feel like the concept had a lot of potential, just didn't hit me :(
Also everything was a little too metaphorical, a lot of times it felt like random sentences strung together and every character had that element.Β
It had its moments tho, some great quotes here and there β€οΈβπ©Ή
I LOVED THIS ONE, THE CONCEPT, IDEA, WRITING STYLE, ALL OF IT. Without any usual introduction of characters or story, it hooked me, I was invested in the characters and despite knowing from the first page, Iris's death still made me sad :( Her journal was beautifully written, the pictures added so much β€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ή
Questioned dating the sister at some points but eventually made sense within the plot and context. The writing style also made it easy to read, would have completed faster if not for my effed up attention span ;)
Also, Carl I love you π«ΆπΌ
Loved it. My heart breaks for Roya and Bahman, loved the way it's written going back and forth in past and present, each character had their own complexities and stories. Great read if you're looking for a good heartbreak β€οΈβπ©Ή
I LOVED IT. SO SO BEAUTIFUL. ALICE SUN YOU HAVE MY HEART FOREVER, always rooting for you β€οΈβπ©Ή A beautifully unique story, great arcs and lovable characters. Henry and Alice forever π₯Ήβ€οΈ Also very hard to put down, just loved it π«ΆπΌ
I'm out of words. Getting into it wasn't expecting it to be this, shook me to my core. Didn't realise I was crying until I closed the book. Honestly I don't know where to start..
Perfectly written, the mystery of Isra keeps you hooked till the end. Loved how we see POVs of every women, all three generations and somehow sympathise with all of them, it really is a cycle going on from centuries.
Also told with subtlety but beautifully shown how the genocide affected generations and generations of people, forcing everyone to do things they maybe wouldn't have ever done.
My heart breaks for Isra and her daughters, even for Fareeda? And that's the beauty of the writing.
The ending couldn't have been better, Isra went believing she was finally free and that she saved her daughters and in some way she did β€οΈβπ©Ή
The book made me cry, feel angry at the world and much more, heartbreakingly beautiful β€οΈβπ©Ή

LOVED IT!!!
The way of writing with the tiny details added in between chapters made the characters more relatable, enhanced the reading experience and made me even more emotionally invested.
Every loss Yui, Takeshi or any character went through could be felt from the words, just beautiful. The short easy to read chapters an added bonus :)
Takeshi, Yui and their little family have my heart π₯Ήπ«ΆπΌ
The ending was perfect as well, healed everyone in some way or the other β€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ή
Also this cover is just so prettyyy and beautifulll, captures exactly what the book made me feel π₯Ήπ
It has that perfect kind of ending, everything will be alright type but I enjoyed it. Easy to process, not that dark and kept me hooked.Β
Loved this one as well, not as much as beach read tho. Emily Henry, the only person who makes me believe in love π©΅π€
Loved it, specially the writing style. The writer showed the emotions and struggles of Marla and Allison so well β€οΈβπ©Ή
Too much importance given to the eagles plot and I feel like there was no closure for his father's issues. Also maybe Pat's ilness could be discussed more and could have unfolded earlier and better. But it was a good readΒ
I LOVEEE LOVEEE LOVEEE IT
Everything from the story, to the plot progression to the way things developed and of course the characters and romance, perfect. I loved Lemon and Iwan's banter and flirting. they have my heart π₯Ήπ«ΆπΌπ
Also Iwan James Ashton you gave me butterflies at so many points, I completely get you Clementine π¦π¦π¦
Wish I hadn't dragged it like this, also sometimes the time situation confused me or maybe it was just my memory.
Anyways, loved it too much, Lemon and Iwan forever β€οΈ
Someone find me a man who cooks me my comfort food in his own restaurant, gets a tattoo for me on his heart, knowing I'm seven years from the future, no one like you Iwan

Wasn't expecting the end, beautiful beautiful book and maybe even better than the previous one β€οΈ
Delphie was so annoying, at times could barely bear her. I went in pretty excited, the idea was great but the writing felt off..Almost immediately guessed the main plot and there was literally zero chemistry between the leads. Also felt zero connection with any of the characters and for some reason couldn't create any vision of the book whatsoever. The M twist was unexpected but God she was also annoying as hell and idk why but every time a romance book/author was referenced, I cringed at the way it was done π
Not a great end to this reading year :(
Loved the gradual personal growth of Yunjae and then his bond with Gon, how both helped the other to realise their true self <3
Loved the overall concept, books set around books don't always work but this one did it for me!! Maggie and her journey were beautiful, the little love story going on the side was cutee π«ΆπΌ
Fun, light, cutsie read π
Beautiful story, heartwarming. Loved the way it was written, starting from the end. Took some to get into and the progression could have been faster. Also the language felt too figurative/symbolic at times, other than that loved it β€οΈ The whole progression of Bobby realising that his mother's dead was beautifully portrayed, my favourite part of the book.Β
May the Queen, Princess and the Boy get back to the Caveman soon β€οΈβπ©Ή
As always, Emily Henry makes me want to believe in love and happy endings π₯Ήπ
Miles and Daphne have their own set of fears and the way each helps the other rediscover love <3
Though did not get as much feels as I usually do from Emily Henry's characters? Maybe it was me dragging it but didn't feel that attachment to the characters, felt like they lacked some depth, and they could've been explored more to make the Love story feel real or idk understandable?
Anyways lovedd it, Emily Henry just has something in her words which makes you want to fall in love π«ΆπΌ
