Another great story from Sarah Addison Allen, moving and interesting and whimsical. Loved it.

A perfect blend of sad and funny.

Amazing, heartfelt, sexy, and fun. I didn't want to put it down!

Cute, and I was happy to see more of Luc and Oliver, but ultimately felt like it didn't go anywhere. I did enjoy every scene with Odile and Judy though...I'd read a whole book about them!

I didn't know much about this book when I picked it up (it was a recommended read at my local bookstore) and I'm glad that was the case! I loved the writing style and had trouble putting this book down as I was so invested in the characters and the action. I can't wait to read the next installment!

Another spectacular release from Casey McQuiston! Sweet, funny, mysterious...a truly wonderful queer YA romcom with a story that subtly unfolds and a cast of unique and interesting characters. I just finished it and (like all of Casey's other books!) can't wait to read it again.

sigh

Wonderful.

I don't know why but it took me a long time to really get into this book, and even by the end I wasn't 100% invested in the characters. I did eventually find myself excited by the story but it felt like it took too long to get there. But I will still definitely get the sequel!

Unusual and exciting! A fun, new kind magical school. I can't wait to see what happens next!

So clever and fun, with delightful illustrations and some laugh out loud moments. As a fan of English Murder Village stories and Agatha Christie, I really enjoyed this!

April 9, 2022

An incredibly engaging read, full of interesting information about how and why we feel, think, and do things. Written with a lot of humor, fun metaphors, and diagrams to help understand what the author is talking about.

September 15, 2016

Funny, entertaining, and filled with fun and funny illustrations. I already liked pigeons a bit before I read this (I have a soft spot for birds that just don't care), but this made me like them even more!

April 2, 2022

Fascinating, engaging, and clearly written with a lot of perspective and love. So glad to have read this!

November 27, 2021

Interesting read that started a bit slow but then picked up (I listened to the audiobook which might have contributed to that)

Incredibly well-written and honestly a bit depressing, but comforting to read because it explains itself in such an eloquent and powerful way. And there's hope in there, too, which it seems we are in need of these days.

ADORABLE AND INCREDIBLE and I want to read it again immediately

December 10, 2022

A very moving and compelling read! I didn't know anything about haenyeo or Korean history during this time period but after reading this book I'll definitely try to learn more. There were some parts that lagged a little but overall I enjoyed this read and am glad I picked up this book.

Amazing how so few words can resonate so deeply. I appreciated how the structure of the collection, broken into chapters (the hurting, the loving, the breaking, the healing), made it feel more like a flowing narrative.

December 31, 2022

Sweet, fun, and kind of chaotic but in the best way!

August 8, 2022

Stunning. Moves at an almost desperate pace which made it almost impossible to put down.

April 8, 2022

As usual with an Alice Hoffman book, I could barely put this one down. So lovely.

April 8, 2022

There was a lot about this that was frustrating but I found myself dying to know what happened next. Looking forward to seeing what the next books have in store.

April 15, 2023

Heartfelt, fun, and engaging, full of love and heartbreak, rock bottoms and rock and roll. Also one of the best audiobooks I've experienced...this book was made to be listened to. The entire cast was incredible. Highly recommended.
