The character development is KILLING me it's so good. These are definitely the best characters Barsetti has created thus far and I am so attached to them! My love for the characters alone elevated this book and I am at the edge of my seat wondering how this will all be concluded. 

I am simply so invested in the characters. This book had me giggling and kicking my feet with every little interaction and also on the edge of my seat during every tense moment. 

My heart was RACING throughout this book. I was genuinely scared like I was watching a scary movie. It was so good and constantly kept me guessing. 

It's essentially the same plot points as her Dirty Blood series, so I knew what was going to happen the entire book, it was very predictable. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it and am invested in the story and what's to come. 

Every time I thought I knew what was going on, a new twist was revealed proving otherwise. So good. 

Such a well-written, dark, disturbing book. 

I had to force myself through this because I refused to DNF it. But there are just so many plot holes and the dialogue/writing style just weren't for me. Although this is typically the kind of thing I enjoy, I just couldn't get into this book. 

This was a good conclusion to the series as a whole. The ending was very predictable, but it was the ending I wanted. It was nice seeing all the characters together again, seeing the progression of their family relationships. 

I LOVED the narration style! The narrator made the story so intriguing. 

All of the female characters in this series have the same personality. I would've liked to see some sort of variation. But like every book before this one, it was a quick, enjoyable read. And I'm enjoying how the world keeps getting expanded on. 

I love how much the world and magic systems have expanded. It made for a very immersive experience. There was especially a focus on family in this book, and it made me care for the characters even more than I already did. 

The chunk of the book without the main characters POV lost my interest a bit. That whole storyline felt a step too unrealistic. The expansion of the world and learning more of the systems within it was interesting and unique, and is what elevates this book for me. 

The tension, the romance, the fighting. There was never a slow moment in this book which kept me intrigued the whole time. It probably would've been a five star read if not for the occasional spelling and grammar mistakes. 

I read this just for a silly read, but ended up honestly loving it and getting really into the plot line and characters. Unexpectedly genuinely loved it 

The second book in trilogies is often underwhelming, but that wasn't the case with this one. I liked this more than the first book. I was desperate to know what was going to happen next from beginning to end. 

The romance happened way too fast and way too easily, it felt a bit cheesy and unrealistic. I found myself not really caring about the love triangle and was more interested in the rebellion plot line.

I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I'm so invested in Demon's life, I was really sad to reach the end and not be able to hear what happens next for him. While being entertaining, the book also sheds light on real-world issues that make you take a step back and think. Overall, I was emotionally invested through it all and loved it entirely. 

I turned to this book because I wanted a lighthearted, low-stakes read. It was exactly that and I honestly loved it. I wasn't expecting to like it that much but it was an enjoyable read with lovable characters and an interesting plot line. 

It was a good ending to the series as a whole, and kept my attention throughout despite it being the third book. I've grown so attached to the characters at this point, I already miss them and their stories. 

My attachment to the characters from the first book is what kept me going with this one. Honestly spent most of the book frustrated with the characters' actions. It was a frustrating read, but only because I like the characters and want the best for them and they just kept making awful decisions. 

Love a good enemies to lovers and an overprotective man! The buildup of the relationship was perfect and done in a way that had me rooting for them wholeheartedly. 

I think I went into this book with too high of expectations. I wasn't really into the story until around 50% through. And I would have liked more for the ending. The ending didn't deliver the punch it had the potential to bring out. Regardless, I still enjoyed the story, it just didn't hit like I thought it would. 

Love love loved this book!!! It consumed my every thought. I was absolutely fully immersed in the world and characters. Completely obsessed. I'm devastated it's over. I will be very very impatiently waiting for book two. 

I liked the thriller / fairytale combination a lot. The creepy undertones kept me hooked, but some parts were a bit too slow. 

What did I just read. I was honestly hooked throughout the book, but the ending ruined it for me. The first 80% of the book was exciting and different from anything I've read, then the last 20% took all that excitement and extinguished it entirely.
