I drink my gin and tonic. Like a man. Yes, like a man.
All you beer-drinking losers are too macho to admit that
beer tastes like a thousand sweaty buttholes. You sit there
throwing shade at real men, like me, who down cocktails.
You're too fragile and too proud to admit that fruit tastes
better than wheat. Drink for drink, I'll floor you. You do a
beer, I'll do my pornstar-martini, and I promise you, you'll
die. End of you. RIP, bitch.
Would've probably enjoyed this book a whole lot less if i didn't know the comedian behind the book.
It's a collection of a lot of very short essays on small things that fill Bill Bailey's life with happiness and contentment, thicked out by odd tangents and anecdotes. It's a nice read that planted my both feet softly onto the ground, but i wouldn't recommend it to someone who's not a fan of bill's already.
First half was amazing, it was like i was watching another avater series. The ending felt a bit rushed (especially the emotional bits) which made it less spectacular than it could've been
I still absolutely adore Kyoshi and i've now proudly named her my favourite avatar
Very America-centric and anti-socialism (presenting the authoritarian leninism as if it were socialism) which is to be expected from an indoctrinated American economics scholar. I don't like his other views (libertarianism and anarcho-capitalism are the dumbest schools of though ever) the book does explore the open borders-argument in the fairest way.
Not a lot of flair or a lot of argumenting, but it isn't necessary. Lanier knows exactly what he's saying and keeps hitting nails on the head. Read it. Now.
Still beautiful messaging, but it starts feeling repetitive after having read 16 stories with nearly exactly the same structure.
Are you a narcissist? Cure your hard-wired mental issues by spending time with a long lost relative!
