This is certainly a peculiar book. Or should I say footnotes collection?

I enjoyed a great amount of the mundane observations made by the protagonist, but some of them were a little over the top. I feel like this book deserves the 4 stars after simmering for some time, but we'll see.

A solid 4.5 stars. Might come back to review this later, but really enjoyed both the plot and the quality of the translation.

An accurate portrait of the mood of a crew in the last day before closing down a restaurant. This took me back a couple years, which is a sign of great writing.

The only way I could have ~liked~ this book was if I had read it as a teenager in Paris in the 60's whilst smoking cigarettes and being a obnoxious and pedantic little bastard just for the sake of it.

Note to self: Hire a Japanese writer to describe my dishes if I ever open a restaurant.

O orgulho de se tratar de um livro português... Sem palavras.

I never want to read DiMaggio's name ever again.

God bless Japanese writers.

“Tenho vinte e três anos! Sou velhinha
Tenho cabelos brancos e sou crente ...
Já murmuro orações... falo sozinha ...”

A good book with accurate but basic information. The lack of pictures was a letdown.

It's a nice book for beginners on the subject, but definitely not the “ultimate vegan cookbook”.

everyone should read this. simple yet really good

How beautiful. First thing I read by Wilde other than some loose quotes but definitely will look for some other things written by him,

I loved this book. I especially liked its format and will look for some more books written by Mary Shelley. It still baffles me how she was able to write this when she was only nineteen.
