This was cute! A solid 3.5 star romance. Loved the premise of the fanfic/discord community. And both of them keeping work and personal life/hobbies separate is relatable lol.
Has some spice, but isn't super spicy.
This book was more quarter life crisis than romance and I was not prepared. Do not recommend listening while exercising, unless you want to cry for multiple reasons. 5/5 for unexpected feels.
I wasn't a huge fan of the characters at the beginning but I can appreciate their growth.
Another solid romance from Tessa Bailey!
An inside look at how Padme picked and formed her handmaids/body guards right before the events of The Phantom Menace. Definitely a YA novel but good nonetheless.
a classic mystery but with spies. low key loved the ‘report' at the end that summarized all the pieces that could have been worked out earlier in the story
I really struggled with this book. Definitely not a fan of bully romance and the hazing drove me crazy.
The writing read like this was their first book, but I don't think it is. And I wish they gave Tory and Darcy stronger characteristics from their time as mortals. Also Fae-book? They couldn't come up with something better?
But it ends with cliffhanger, so I'm gonna have to read the next one.
Not as spooky as I was expecting. Writing was excellent, of course, and the stories did pose some interesting questions
It took a bit to get into but in the end I enjoyed it.
I liked how it showed the struggles of maintaining suburban societal standards and the often overlooked struggles of housewives. Plus I always appreciate books that live up to ‘boys are dumb and men are trash'
Loved the audiobook narrator. Liked the ties to certain characters we're familiar with in the universe
It took me 3 years to finish this book but I finally did it. The book was more historical fiction than magic which wasn't what I was expecting. The audiobook was great though.
The dates got a bit confusing as a listener but it was a cute trip to a small english village.
Fascinating part of history that I never knew about. Loved the quotes from the archives.
Did I ignore all my responsibilities today to start and finish this book? Yes. Do I have regrets? No, none at all.
I'm not entirely convinced that Persephone ever slept. Like how the f did she not have more breakdowns.
And I expected a little more spice, but there was a plot so I'll take it.
Legitimately could not put the book down.
Sentence structure was a bit choppy at the beginning which made me reread some paragraphs, but I imagine that's just due to the translation.
