I don't think this book was intended to be so heart wrenching but it really ripped out my heart and served it on a platter. 10/10 no notes
I feel like I'm not giving this series enough credit bc I keep reading it in the worst circumstances (fuck you hurricane beryl) but the ending hooked me so I'll give it 4 stars
A personal look at how Putin has shaped Russia to be what it is today. I don't know much about Russia's history so I thought it was interesting.
Basically all the tips and context you'd get from listening to Dan on PSA but in one book.
One complaint about the audio book is that you can definitely tell when he had to rerecord lines. The tone is different and it's a bit jarring.
This one was fun! I didn't see the killer coming. The dialogue was a little stilted though.
[disclaimer: I have read a lot of teenwolf fanfic, so if that's not your jam this book won't be]
The Internet said this was going to be Omegaverse and it's definitely not. But it was fantastic and I loved everything about it. No notes
I was not prepared to be emotionally destroyed by this book but here we are. This RomCom is light on the com and heavy on reality.
Apparently it's loosely based/inspired by ‘When Harry Met Sally' which I haven't seen
Insert emotional damage meme here
It took a while but I finally finished. Not sure how LMM managed this on a vacation lol
The description on the back totally spoiled this book.
But I appreciated the Indiana Jones vibes but with music
I think I would have liked this better if I'd read it at a different point in my life. It's taken me almost a year to read bc I just didn't feel the need to pick it back up again.
BRB never living near the woods
Why didn't the mom say anything bro Josh's parents?! They spent so much time together! Also why weren't the cops called at the end?
the last story was a stuggle to get through b/c i new how it would end but loved the additional insight in to all the characters
I sat down intending to read for an hour and finished the whole book. This was great. Was it the best book I've ever read? No, but it was fun and I was hooked! And there's a sort of talking frog and honestly why aren't there more talking frogs in books? The sense of humor in this book is not for everyone but it was definitely for me.
Full disclosure I did follow the author's tiktoks where she started this idea and that definitely influenced my opinion.
This was really fucking cute. A very well executed brothers best friend with excellent smut.
Honestly, it was fine. I was hooked for the first like 1/3 of the book and then I just kinda lost interest. Conceptually it was cool, but the last act felt kinda meh.
This was definitely more engaging than the first book. And I now understand why all the fan universe theories exist. While I don't think this series will end up falling in my “best series” list, I can see why it does for other people.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S WHERE THE BOOKS ENDS. It's been a long time since I've turned a page and screamed ‘what' at being the end of the book. Like really cutting off in the middle of a new scene like that, who DOES THAT. I was wondering how they were gonna make a 3rd volume and NOW I KNOW AND HAVE TO WAIT FOR AUGUST.
VERY HEAVY SPOILERS FOLLOW
ALSO MY GUY JUST FUCKING DESTROYED THE WORLD, RIPPED HIS HEART OUT, HANDED IT TO THIS KID, AND THEN PEACED THE FUCK OUT. LIKE WHO DOES THAT. What fresh hell did he put Sen Wei through for FIVE THOUSAND YEARS just to save humanity?!
I love that the cat can use a smart phone. I have so many questions about Guo and the rest of the office. Andkeownabavahdorowbwjfof
This was a cute novella! 3 stars bc I definitely didn't remember starting it so it sat unread for who knows how long.
This was hands down the steamiest Bridgerton book so far; the only one that matches the show. I liked the different setup for this story, compared to the rest, and the drastically different themes it played off of. I also didn't hate the male lead in this one, like I did all the other leads. Not quite worth the 5th star but is a solid historical romance.
Note: this book relies heavily on guilt so if you don't like that move along
