I have read so many detective novels, but at the end of the day, FELUDA remains my ultimate favourite.
Satyajit Ray is one of the best storytellers this world has ever got.
He portrays the character of Prodosh.C.Mitter in a superior and outstanding manner, a person with strong observation and analytical power. His two associates namely Topshe (his quintessential accomplice) and the crime writer Lalmohan Babu aka Jatayu, are always ready to jeopardize their lives for Feluda. Inspired from Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Topshe is what Watson is to Sherlock.
The power of three is what makes Feluda, the ABCD i.e Asia's Brightest Crime Detector.
P.S. I am so inspired and a huge fanboy of Feluda Series, I made this facebook page named Feluda Series few years ago.
I'm Young and from India, but I surely don't want to read this book ever again!
The book is intellectually lazy! He tries to prove his calibre by self-promoting his writing skills at every single point of the book!
I thought I'll read about some incidents about India and other stuff from Chetan's perspective and this is what I get.
What the hell! Pure waste of time and money!
This book made me think about me and myself.
I was never a fan of self-help personal growth books. I picked it up coz the name looked catchy: D
It was really agreeable. Motivating. Inspirational. Humble philosophies of life were being engraved in a fascinating way which makes it a worthy read. I liked it very much. Shailendra Singh good stuff.
I am a big devotee of Roadies (was) and this book is about the man behind it.
Loved the book! Very interesting to know about his experiences and all the politics and casualties he paced in his life!
Must Read for a Roadies Fan!
Nicely written Raghu.
This one is an engrossing crime thriller.
One of those vengeance stories which is really well put into a storyline.
Good Read for me !
A born Bollywood pot-boiler for sure.
3.5 stars
A really cute and wonderfully written book for children and adults especially you Mr. Pence. A book has a very simple message and that's love is love is love is love. Listened to the Audible version, because the book isn't available in India. Kudos to John Oliver for turning this into a brilliant swerve which actually does good for everyone.
It is Agatha Christie at her best. It is Crime-Thriller at it's best.
This is quite different from all her stories. DARKER! WAY DARKER! This lends it to the story, overall! This mystery story cleverly recounts the murders of 10 guests at an opulent mansion on a sporadic ocean island from which retreat is rendered impossible by the stormy weather which further contributes to the crepitating atmosphere. Each guest has a dark secret which makes them an inevitable victim and their mysterious host has not yet arrived, so which one is the murderer?
You'll NEVER guess it, even if you do, you'll never guess the ending! Because it's absolutely genius!
This book isn't a salacious story about a quiet girl being pleased by her sexy boss-come-boyfriend to dip her foot in the BDSM world. This is a bastardized version of the BDSM word, filled with sexual assault and rape.
Of course, a lot of people disagree which made it a BEST SELLER!
