Chaol was probably my favourite character, but it still pains me a little of what become of him after Queen of Shadows. Just because the author needed someone to blame for her plot holes. The great thing is that Chaol finally got some happiness in the end.
Ohhhh. Well, this book is a handful. So many things getting destroyed. Now I'm curious from whose point of views the next book would be.
Not impressed. I just couldn't rid off the feeling, that I was reading some weird retelling of Six of Crows.
Short chapters make the book fly. If I ever decide to write a book - you know how long the chapters will be.
The novel was lovely. Quite a turn with the gods, I liked it. However, maybe because we are looking down on the characters, I felt somewhat disconnected from them. Still a good, steady book.
Britt-Mari is not an easy main character to like, but she just kinda grows on you. And I feel so proud of her in the end.
That was certainly a nice one. I liked how it all ended. But I'm just curious if there will be more about the cases in this book in future installments.
A lot can be said about S.J. writing, but she certainly can write some epic drama. Somehow, I've got huge Lord of the Rings vibes from this book with the gathering of all allies and the battles on the background.
Despite some things that builded up to nothing, I'm still glad that I finished the series. You can hate S.J. Maas books, but they are so easy to read and so entertaining. Even if you have to roll eyes a lot.
