Incredible action from start to finish in this prequel to Seeds of War.
Easy read that gave a litte more exposure to the world and expanded on its magic. Readers are treated to a glimmer of divine beings that I can only hope to see a lot more of in later entries in the series.
This was a book that I was eager to start having heard great things from the community. Now having finished, I look forward to the next in the series.
The pacing through multiple POVs hit the right tempo for me, without pushing “filler” that didn't develop or drive the story forward.
There were several moments throughout that I found myself asking “What?!” and continued turning the page to find out what happened next. Devastated when the last page crept up on me.
Down Below Beyond was recommended to me and I have to say it is a wonderful read that made me joyful, hopeful, and sad.
Where oppression reigns, the cast of characters that come together, in particular Floem, brought the story to life for me and had me laughing throughout.
I can not recommend Down Below Beyond enough.
For me, An Ocean of Others, was a great mix of Grimdark horror survival fantasy peppered with humor. By the end of the book, I had a great many questions answered. but had so many more that I wish we had been able to explore the additional characters around the main protagonist, but that just means I can only hope for more in the next instalment!
Mystery fantasy that draws you in.
Renia presents a fresh new world setting with a wonderful cast of characters that I thoroughly enjoyed as we traverse the mystery of a theft of a rare book.
By the end, my heart strings were tugged in a way that I came to feel sorry for one of the antagonists, which took me by surprise but played out so flawlessly. I'm eager to see more of Luna Ruinam and what is to come.
Riveting from the first page to the last. I enjoyed seeing the world through the perspective of the three main characters and how their separate worlds and struggles weaved together. Eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series.
I read The Fall prior to reading Of Blood and Fire in The Bound and Broken series. It was a great introduction to the world of Epheria and I would recommend the same read order, though the novella itself will advise that you need not read it before Of Blood and Fire and can certainly read it after.
I enjoyed the characters within and the multiple POVs revolving around the pivotal event that changed the landscape of Epheria and dived right into the next in the series eager for more.
