I was so excited going into this book because it had all the elements I love in books; multiple povs, snowy setting,isolated.

The book started off strong but as it went on it kept going down, i started reading this on the 23rd of january 2023 and i got upto 45% after that it got boring and repetitive so i read a few pages here and there and finally decided to finish it last night.

Overall I would say it is an entertaining read but not as engaging as I would have liked.

DNF @ 17% really wanted to love this but it felt like I was forcing myself just to get through the book and I didn't want to do that.
I might come back to this though at another time if I am in the correct head space. But for now its a dnf:(

I think I enjoyed reading this more than IEWU.
My fav part of the book tho was def Theo and Josh! Loved them so muchh.

Anne of Green Gables is one of my fav classics and I really enjoyed reading this! The illustrations were beautiful, and everything was exactly how I pictured it to be and more

I was enjoying the book until I read that freaking epilogue. It ruined the whole book for me:(
Seriously tho the book felt like a 4-4.25 star read but after that epilogue I had to lower my rating to a 3-3.25 star.
Other than that I really enjoyed how twisted and unhinged these characters were and their motives for everything they did.(whoaa!!)
Def recommend this one! Especially if you are looking for a dark fast paced thriller (with extremely unlikable characters) that you can prob finish within a day or 2. But beware of that epilogue:)

I think that A.R.Torre is officially one of my fav authors!!
I read the good lie abt a week ago and I LOVED it. But I went into this with very low expectations coz someone I know had read and rated this very low so I was nervous going into it. But I LOVED this one!!

It had all the things I love in a mystery/thriller;
-Multiple povs
-Short chapters
- Alternating timelines
-Twists and turns that make you want to keep flipping pages.

I have to say tho during the first 50% I thought that this might be a 2 star coz I was not a huge fan of the characters in this book (except one) and the stuff they did/said made me so mad. But the last 50% changed the entire thing around and I was so invested.

If you are looking for a book to binge this is for you!

Such a cool concept but such a bad execution. I am surprised that I even finished the book coz it was SOO boringg. Every single part was BORING. I started this as a buddy read in the beginning of September and just finished it. And reading other reviews I feel like I read a book which was completely different to what the others read:(
Also the writing style was so confusing and hard to understand and I still dont know what happened in the end. Gonna have to ask someone to explain the entire plot of the book to me

It was very slow paced and all the ‘reveals' were thrown all together at the end. I wish the author had sprinkled them out throughout the whole book for more suspense because for the first 67% I felt like nothing was happening, just interviews and gossip and the last 33% was like twist after twist after twist and reveal after reveal after reveal.One thing I will say though the aunties gossip in this is spot on. I am SriLankan too and I have been in many situations with aunties like this lol and let me tell you this is almost exactly how it is. Also I really enjoyed reading abt the setting coz many of the places mentioned in the book are places I have been to.(Mt Lavinia beach, Lovinia's secret passageway, Colombo 7, etc) And since SriLanka is rarely mentioned in thrillers it was like a whole new experience reading this. This book would have gotten a higher rating if it weren't for the fact that I read another book which had the exact plot of this, that book also had twins and the ‘twist' was the exact same as this. From abt 1/2 way into the book I knew that the thing which happened in the other book was gonna happen here and it did. Im not saying the author copied the other book coz the two books were pub at the same time. But I was pissed off coz I knew what was gonna happen. But I feel like this book was done better! And the ending almost made me cry.

This had A LOT of sci-fi elements and while I enjoyed reading about it during the 1 half I got so tired of it in the 2nd half. But I really enjoyed the concept of this and I feel like it would make an amazing movie coz it was filled with action and fight scenes left, right and center. It was interesting to see how Logan had become somewhat of a super human and it brought up so many interesting questions like what if Logan's Upgraded DNA was introduced to everyone, can the planet be saved? Is it up to us to be in charge of smthg like this ? . Ok so this book, I was so bored abt 25% in and I started reading reviews of it and almost all the reviews I saw gave the book 4 to 5 stars and I was so confused and kinda mad coz the book was SO boring and confusing!!! But then continued it anyway and when I hit the 52% mark I was considering dnfing it but since I was halfway done decided to power through and then when I hit the 68% a major twist was revealed and I was MIND BLOWN! Like Im not even kidding, I should have figured it out with the clues throughout the book. All the confusions and questions I had throughout most of the book was solved and answered and after that it was so gripping. I am still thinking abt that twist coz it was so SHOCKING and, wow I have seen this twist being done before in other books but not as good as this.
I feel like the did was done better in this than in another book I read which has did(I dont want to put it here coz I might spoil it for those who haven't read that book) and it was again really shocking.The book has all the things I love reading about: twins,did,sibling dynamics,etc and it explored so many things and I feel like I have learnt so much from the book..

Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was coz of the parts before the twist. If it weren't for that I would have def given this a 5 star!! Cant wait to read more from the author:))

I was soo engrossed in the book from the 1st page itself and I really enjoyed it! I think this is one book that I will keep rereading for multiple years to come coz this just seems like the perfect comfort book.I didn't even want the book to finish because I just enjoyed being in Adam and Olive's world and I never wanted to come out of it.I think this is the 2nd book I read with the fake dating trope and I enjoyed this much, much more than the 1st book I read.Okayyy, noww can we talk about Adam, what a dreamy guy, I have added him to my list of never-ending book bfs. After reading about him now I want to read every book with the grumpy sunshine trope.The side characters in the book were very lovable too, Malcolm and Holden especially!I loved the academia and hot nerd vibes from the book!! I wasn't expecting to love the book this much! It wasn't like the other cheesy romance books I have tried and failed to read for the past few days:)
I also read this as a buddy read with some amazing peeps and I may or may not have lost control and finished the whole book before them

I LOVE THIS BOOK! Its the best one from the full series and I loveee Tucker!!! I LOVEDD Dean but HATE Allie

It took me abt a week to actually get into the story and when I was in I was so immersed and it felt lie a definite 4 star ,but unfortunately the ending was a major let down and I guessed one of the huge ‘twists' a few chapters before it was revealed, hence the 3.25 star rating.

I loved the writing tho so I am thinking of starting another one by the author, any recs?(I read little secrets in Jan and loved it!!)

1.5So underwhelming:( I didn't connect with any of the characters and the ‘twist' at the end felt like it was written just for the sake of the twist.But I did like the backstory behind the creepy hotel which is why this is a 1.5 Also this took me more than a week to finish even tho this is a 300+ page book, coz it was so slow.
