Great book! First Frieda McFadden book, listened to it with my wife on the drive to my graduation. A good introduction I think into thrillers as well.
Overall, a pretty good book! I wasn't the biggest fan of how the narrator was written. I felt as though she was just there as a Narrator, and forgot she was also a character.
This book was amazing! I loved the twists and turns through the story, and it made it to where I never wanted to put the book down!
For anyone that loves adventures or treasure hunts, along with religion, this would be a fun and exciting!
Amazing book, filled with bits of wisdom as to how to approach this topic.
Being a Christian in 2023 (especially a younger one) comes with a lot of issues, that others (even other Christians' like the older generation) haven't needed to consider as much. Going through High School and College, and even post-college, I've met a lot of people that are within the LGBT community. The question is, how am I supposed to deal with that? You can't look to the older generation of Christians, as it's hard for them to wrap their heads around the “why” in it that they just blanked the statement of “don't do it”, the Bible can be confusing to read, and yet you still don't think the mainstream culture has it right.
This book is amazing if you identified with my earlier paragraph. Caleb Kaltenbach goes through and clearly lays out both the logic within the Bible, and yet how to still have a relationship with individuals who identify as LGBT. It's an important skill to learn, and Caleb does a great job conveying the nuance of the topic.
Also will note that I read this with my bible study, and it was received well, so it's a great book to go through in a group as well.
A great book that I think that everyone needs to read. The main idea within this book is so important to enjoy life fully, and it explains something that can be hard to come to on your own.
So, this book is a really good book, however, it's not the book you think your buying. It says it's about the capture and his time in captivity as a POW, but it really focuses more on the events stateside and before he is a POW. Other then that, a really good book.
This book, in my opinion, is necessary for most people that will be working in knowledge work.
Files and information on a computer are such a critical part of today's work, that having a system to deal with the massive amount we accumulate is necessary. I learned multiple helpful mindsets and tools that I can use to produce a better product in what I deliver to others.
A must-read for just about everyone! This book helps to understand good rules-of-thumb for dealing with money, and how to not beat yourself up if you don't meet your planned spending.
This book was just O.K.
I think that there are some good tidbits within here that can help people to clean and organize in a new way. However, with that said, this book goes out of its way to be “accessible”. I understand that this is in line with the premise of a “gentle approach”, it makes it hard to stay interested in the book, especially as an audiobook.
I also think this book is laid out somewhat weirdly. I feel like the 1st part could have been the entire book, because there's a point in which she just goes back more in depth into the specific rooms she has. While this can be useful, a lot of those later chapters include fluff that was already covered in the first part of the book, where she talks over cleaning as a whole. This was why it took me a while to read this book, it was hard for me to turn on just to listen to the same thing again and again as I got closer to the end.
If you're struggling with cleaning because you get overwhelmed, I think this book is great. But I am unsure if you need to read the entire book to get what you need to out of it.
A great book to help understand the psychology of habits. This book outlines a clear way to assist people with building a life they want, while recognizing how much work it will be. All of this by creating a great foundation by habits, therefore setting you up for success.
I also loved how he broke down his 4 main points for habits. This made it much easier to understand and apply to everyday situations.
An amazing book to read! I have a special connection to this book, as it was the book my dad used to read me when I was sick. I see why he liked it so much now.
My favorite part is his writing style, he writes like it's a campfire tale, and that is by far the easiest to get sucked into.
This book, hands down, is one that I needed when I've read this. With the uncertainty of the world, it's so easy to escape to the world of the Count, as you see a true gentleman in Moscow.
It made me wish that there were more gentlemen today, and the entire book had me wanting more.
I wouldn't say that this is a bad book, but I wouldn't necessarily call it good or great.
If you're looking for a predictable story that's well written, it's a comfy one.
