Greylith is a debut novel from this author and is book one of a planned series. It's a MM romantasy that takes you on a journey of personal struggle and growth, as the MMC, Phoenix, learns to wield his newly developed powers that come with the weight of the world while also navigating a brand new life at Fort Weave.
I think what really hit home for me was the underlying plot. The pressure that is immediately placed on him while having no say or control over himself. His friends and family, while their heart is in the right place, are so concerned with keeping him safe that they don't realize they are pushing him to the edge because he feels like he has no control over his own choices. I think a lot of people could easily connect with Phoenix, and really feel the emotional turmoil and growth that this book will take you through.
I am definitely excited for book 2!
I'm really mad about this book. The writing and editing are extremely poor and it almost made me DNF. I pushed through because I already made it this far but I was angry about it.
All of the books have typos. This one was just off the hook. Not just typos, but whole sentences repeated back to back like they rewrote the sentence but forgot to delete the old one. Or half a sentence that was deleted and rewrote but repeated exactly what the beginning of the sentence said and really makes the whole sentence so confusing that you make up your own instead so it can make sense to you.
Some parts of the POV are written as a 3rd person but they are talking about themselves (ex: she looked at his eyes and then to my lips - when it should have said MY eyes and then to my lips).
It feels like the characters are in different spots from where they were described to have been. By the time a spicy scene is over, I'm convinced they are just twisted into pretzels because of the way it's written.
I'll finish the series because of the commitment I've already made, but at this point I don't even want to.
I just don't understand how someone can put forth the effort to use such big/fancy words but fail to catch the dozens upon dozens of typos.
I also laughed out loud at the blow dart.

Wow. This was such a wild ride. Perfect mix of horror, mystery, and romance. I can guarantee you will be hooked before the first chapter ends, and you won't want to stop reading until you get all the answers!
Definitely read each novella after their book. I had a hard time remembering where I left off with each couple and got super confused with one of them
The only reason this got two stars is because of the last chapter. It was the ONLY thing I didn't see ahead of time in this very long, frustrating, predictable book.

I really enjoyed this book and had zero issues getting sucked into it. Was it a normal Freida twist? No. I could guess the direction it was headed pretty early on - but also kept getting my mind blown with how Charly kept talking herself out of being mad. I was convinced that something else was going to happen, all the way up until the book said ‘The End'. She usually has at least 2-3 BIG twists, and I can almost always count on one of them being within the last couple pages of the book, so that let me down a little and I'm still not convinced that my theory wasn't right, but not confirmed.
Anyway, enjoyed the perspective and story. Very quick read and I don't think anyone would be disappointed they read it!
Do not read this book in public. You will cry. I don't think a chapter went by that I didn't break down. Beautifully written
Kira who? Sorry, all I see is a bad ass bitch here.
Omg, I loved her progression.
Aehako was obviously fantastic. I totally loved him when I was introduced to him in Barbarian Alien, and he ‘allowed' himself to be kidnapped by Liz, and that personality shines on in his very own story. Just a down to Earth (
Another one that totally captured me. I'm really enjoying the story building, and the character development is chefs kiss
I hated Liz at the start but I instantly had a soft spot for Raahosh. His story was heartbreaking and his questioning of being unattractive was so sad! There was absolutely a part in the book that had me ugly crying.
Liz grew on me and I actually came to enjoy her smart ass remarks.
Definitely a must read if you enjoyed the first book in the series!!

I'm actually shocked with how much I enjoyed this book. I knew I would like it, but I'm used to these books being all about the smut, and while there is plenty of it - I felt totally captured by this story! I fell in love with Georgie and Vektal. He was such a sweetheart and her quick, witty comments made me laugh. I was rooting for them to be together from the get-go, and I only hoped for it even more as I kept reading.
There is a tough part in the beginning, so please be mindful of your triggers, but it does not carry throughout the storyline.
idk.
I was seriously enjoying the story. TBH when the typos started - the story just seemed to go downhill from there. Like certain plot points got rushed, character development went sideways. Idk. I probably won't read the 3rd.
