Worst book I've read in a long while. The ending does not redeem it.

I gave this four stars because of Tom Hanks' superb reading of the audiobook. Otherwise it would have been a three. Good book with good characterization, but not great.

This book was so self-absorbed and boring I couldn't finish it. Not to mention vulgar and uninteresting. A disservice to Julia Child.

Superb book! I listened to the audio version and I HIGHLY recommend!! Lots of science, but don't let that deter you.

This book appears to have been translated from German. It also appears that the translator was not a knitter, or at least, not a sock knitter. I am an experienced sock knitter, but I am scratching my head many times as I try to figure out just what is trying to be said.
