Full of twists and great characters - more tense having read the original series and knowing where some tales end.
Not what I expected but better. I see now why he is protecting his family by giving interviews and releasing this book. Will never click on an “analysis” article about the Royal Family again. He read the audiobook - definitely recommend because can hear the emotions.
It is very hard to describe the Zelazny writing style- it starts in the middle of many things and beginnings are often explained at the end. But the books are never confusing and just fun reads. The book follows a cosmic battle from the point of a dog familiar. Even over the wonderful Amber novels, this is my favorite Zelazny story.
Fun and engaging - definitely recommend not listening to it though - many names sound similar and were harder for me to track.
I registered a book at BookCrossing.com!

Well selected short stories that covered many definitions of Space Opera. Like most of these collections, I enjoyed the variety and found some new authors to read in the future.
Audible edition does an amazing job with the voice acting. The ending is harder to understand without seeing the names. After Alecto comes out will have to go back and read as a book to catch all the foreshadowing and names.
I read books decades ago so vaguely familiar with drow, halflings, and world. This is a very simple story meant for current readers.
Selfish people with magical powers. Apparently the boys can make lights go out in any place without touching it. And love interest blows up a yacht during lunch ends and didn't care innocent people would die. (If he placed the pearl, he knew she and the chef were there) They celebrated wedding by burning a man alive in his house.
Different and left me wanting to know more about the world and what happened next (right kind of anthology story)
Arabian nights style with many random stores filling out the book. Narrator is amazing with tons of accents (3 for main character alone!) And managed to still make them distinct and recognizable on audible. (Some got goofy by the end, but still distinct!) Story fun and light.
That was a cliffhanger! The games were creative and the writing was well paced so it felt like the same thrill as the characters. On to the next!
A simple story but the characters are memorable if inconsistent. Plot was just getting started so will probably read next one to see if settles in. I did listen to the Spotify playlist made for the book while reading. And I received this through a Goodreads giveaway.
Read during trip to Scotland
Drinking Irn Bru and Tennet beer and driving the same roads as in the book made it even better. Book was a fun and satisfying talenin Iron Druid world
Very earned ending even if a rough ending to a unique trilogy. I want to know what happens next!
Always a great storyteller and I stay up way to late reading her stories. Often giggling.
She always has a new angle on the classic tropes - this one being a magical sword and respectable widow on an adventure. Slowly because of Prettyfoot the ox.
