It's a big anthology and I'm parking it for the time being until I'm in the mood to finish the remaining books.
The banter is getting old and the books are getting very formularic. The chatty female protagonist and the gruff but honorable male protagonist. The MC is a rational programmer, doesn't believe in magic and the supernatural, but doesn't bat an eye when she ends up i a town full of wherewolves and witch coves. Because those pecs.... There are other books I like to delve in to.
A collection of short scenes depicting various chases from different books, some of which are intriguing enough to look for the whole book. My favorite scene is the one from Sunbolt by Intisar Khanani.
This was my first book by Nisha Minhas and I don't think I will explore more books by her. The characters in the book are really over the top, cliche and caricatures. I didn't click with any of them. The story is progressing slowly, but developments are really crazy. I did have a hard time finishing the book. Realized after I finished that it probably was meant to be a kind of Bollywood novel.
Start of a series. Was a nice introduction of the diverse cast. But the main plotline felt convoluted and fell kind of flat.
My favorite trilogy of 5 books, H2G2 never gets old. The series has inspired so many pop culture references and a whole new category of silly SF. As long as you know where your towel is, you'll prepared for everything this wacky series throws at you.
Short, whimsical little Christmas story to help you get in the mood for the holidays.
