It's an engaging book with a neat blend of female protagonist who empowers herself (within the constraints of Puritan-era colonies) and witchcraft. But I didn't like how the native American characters were used as cultural props (like a Wes Anderson film), and the antagonists seemed written to make you hate them (spoiler: it worked) but not to feel like believable, fleshed out human beings.
