Dans ce deuxième tome nous retrouvons les trois femmes Beauchamps chacune occupées avec un problème différent. Nous retrouvons Freya après la révélation de son frère retrouvé, Freddie. Selon lui Killian, l'amant éternel de Freya serais responsable de la destruction de Bofrir le pont reliant les mondes et responsable en partie des pouvoirs des dieux. Elle tente alors de percer ce mystère. Ingrid quant à elle cherche a gérer sa première relation avec le charmant policier Matthew Noble tout en gardant secrète l'arrivée d'étranger ayant subitement perdu la mémoire et les plongeant dans l'incapacité de renter dans leur monde. Pour finir, il semblerait qu'un esprit cherche a contacter Joanna afin de lui faire passer un message important.

Ce deuxième tome est encore meilleur que le premier, l'histoire des Beauchamps est loin de prendre fin, au contraire Melissa de la Cruz a su nous tenir en haleine avec pour chaque membre de la famille une intrigue fascinante pour qu'à la fin le casse tête de chacun prenne forme de manière logique et étonnante. J'ai également beaucoup aimé le fait que l'auteure décide de mélanger la magie et la mythologie nordique dans cette histoire, de cette manière elle excite la curiosité des lecteurs. J'attends avec impatience la lecture du troisième tome. Même en ayant vu la première saison de la série j'ai pleinement profité des deux malgré des changements flagrants.
Une lecture fraiche et amusante qui nous permet de découvrir un personnage pas très commode : Honey. Son intrigue est peut être même la plus intéressante. Suite au renvoie de son lycée son père lui propose de venir le rejoindre en Australie pour recommencer sa vie du bon pied. Mais tout le monde ne semble pas lui vouloir du bien..

Que dire ? une grande incompréhension une partie du livre, une autre partie nous semble totalement surréaliste et la dernière partie est intéressante. On ne peux pas vraiment dire que ce soit un mauvais livre mais une partie de la lecture est gâchée par ses mystère incompréhensible. malgré tout j'ai apprécier cette lecture.

I read this book because I watched the show with Richard Madden, I loved the show. This book is really interesting, it provides an historical background quite accurate. The book is made of several point of views giving the reader a new view and elements on the story. There is suspense and love, the florentine background provides something more for me, all thos elements makes it a good book. The main negative point for me is that because of course the story of the Medici takes place on several decades, their story is not concentrated, we jump from year to year and it makes the story chopped rather than a whole and single elements for me. Of course the author couldn,'t change that because it' s history
Magnus is the heir to the Norwegian throne, and this time he fucked up bigger time than usual. His parents give him an ultimatum : if he wants to be king one day he must make up for his mistake and get a new perfect public image. In other words he must get married to another blue blood princess of Europe. He chooses Isabella, princess of Liechtenstein, as it seems completely surreal to do such a thing when he doesn't even know any of the princesses and didn't think about getting married before. She is not thrilled by this marriage of conveniences when she has so much other plans for her life. But Magnus is clearly more and more interested and decided to make things work between them...
Currently in Norway for my studies I just had to pick it up and, boy I did not regret it ! This book is just what I needed and didn't know I needed. A story about a marriage of convenience can just not work but Karina Halle just blew my mind with this book. The story has just the perfect pace : not too fast but not too slow to the point you are just praying for something to happen.
Magnus is sexy, funny and romantic in his own way, the prince you crave for ! Isabella is just smart enough not to be a miss know it all or completely stupid. She also has the right balance between innocence and sexyness, she is not the young virgin waiting for the perfect man in her life.
The whole story is just a perfect balance between sexy parts that are not thrown in too soon, romantic parts “escalating” as they start to know each other. The characters are funny without being goofy.
I just wished the plot twist of the story was a little sooner in the story but it was not so bothering neither. Just a book with a perfect balance to make it short !
This is a really cute book for children. The story is set in a big area, where they protect fantastic creatures. It's magical and really easy to read for children, the plot is easy to follow and understand and brings a moral in the end. It's cute for adults during a long commute. I really enjoyed it and think it is perfect as a gift for a child.
livre très agréable à lire grâce avec une écriture poétique et agréable à lire malgré le peu de dialogue présent.
malheureusement il n'y aucune intrigue, le fils ne rencontre pas son père inconnu. Ce livre nous donne des tranches de vie au hasard, sans logique apparente, il n'y a ni problématique ni résolution. Ce qui sauve ce livre c'est son écriture et le fait qu'il soit court.
