The art was stunning. It's worth it for that alone. Sadly the story was pretty cliche
I was not a fan of the statistical probability of love at first sight, but I decided to give the author a 2nd chance. I an so glad I did. This was a gorgeous romance and family drama in the backdrop of some of the most beautiful places in the world. It made me nostalgic for the places I'd been and wistful for the ones I haven't. if you love a good travel novel, I wholeheartedly recommend this one
I adore everything Kyle Higgins had ever penned. I adore this series in particular. Even though alternate reality hopping like this is usually head spinning, this one was so masterfully done!
What a surprising random find this book was. I loved its quirkiness and wit. I loved the celebration of peace-making, kindness and using brains over brawn. It's also a wonderful all ages story you can share with younger readers
Grant Morrison is one of my favorite Batman writers and I was thrilled he brought his brand of weirdness to the x-men. It's so good and so weird! Fully love it.
Read this for my practicum training. It was lovely and powerful. Definitely gave me a good bit of insight into my clients and into life
Such a fun throwback story to the silver age, taking the classic ideas and updating them into a vastly superior style of art and storytelling. This is fun, popcorn adventure. Some of the asides into other stories (the continuity kids for instance) felt unnecessary but the main stories were wonderful
Tim Drake is fantastic in this story. I also loved getting to see more of this iteration of the justice league!
It was fun to see a back story for my favorite Robin, although this was far from my favorite story of him. certainly some fun parts and some problematic parts. Persona favorite was all the next level Sass lady Shiva was casually tossing at passerbys. More of this please
This was a really fun short book. I enjoyed it but the ending left a lot unanswered and unresolved.
Of the set so far, I liked Brackens the best. That said this one was fun! It took me a while to get into the style of it. I haven't read a published book in the second person style ever. It was fun and funny though and I couldn't put it down
This was such a fun read! I loved it. I kind of wish the style stayed more consistent with the first one though yes, I know the style changes were the whole point. That said, this was a really fun, quick read
That was wild. Truly wild. I think it broke my brain a bit. That said it was a fun adventure and a real page turner. I just prefer the smaller xmen stories that feature more character moments myself
One of the best comics I've ever read. I adore this character and the people who inhabit his world. This comic made me laugh out loud and tear up. Fully recommend if you can handle intense violence
This book breathed life into me. It made me cry, it made me angry, and most of all it gave me hope
This was an incredible fast read. I was fascinated by the characters and their intertwining flaws. Its definitely a rough one (probably the tag would be gritty) but worth it if you are up for that. I loved it
I loved this book! It was definitely a dense read but with such interesting voices. Some of it was dated but many of the thoughts were still eye opening and motivating now. Some of the essays worked better for me than others.
This was fine. It did the story, but brought absolutely nothing new to the table. Complete retread
I can't get enough of Jessica and Simon! This one is especially good. It deals directly with anxiety and how much one has to overcome to face the world each day. It's gorgeous and continues to inspire me
