Where do I even start?!
These books have an absolute CHOKEHOLD on me. I'm obsessed in the best way possible. I read this in less than a day — absolutely DEVOURED it.
I'm obsessed with the magical world of Celestial Haven that L.R. Friedman has created.
After Wicked in the Pines, we were left guessing who could be behind the mysterious disappearances of the witches. And you'll never guess the answer until the end!
The twists and turns that this book took... it had me screaming and on the edge of my seat the entire time. I also cried and laughed my butt off! The banter and inner monologues of the characters will get you like that sometimes

This year seems to be the year of relatable books! And I am loving every moment of it. This will likely be a comfort reread for me because it just tugged on all the right spots in my heart. It feels like such a unique book, but if I'm honest – I haven't read enough supernatural romance yet!
While this is a supernatural/witchy romance, the amazing FMC, Oakley, represents us hot mess mamas in the early months of motherhood. I've never related to a fantasy (albeit modern fantasy) character so much in my life. When I became a mom, I felt the same as Oakley: like I had lost my identity and had no clue who I was anymore, like everyone had motherhood down while I struggled, and that my body just didn't feel the same anymore. I'm so grateful to the author for creating such a relatable character.
Oakley's relationships were so well-written. Her relationship with her sister was adorable and Lynx and Saros were some absolute drool-worthy witchy men, IMHO.

This was an interesting read for me! It took a little bit for the plot to really kick in, but it was overall a good book! The author's writing style is great and easy to read. While I did love it, I felt it was missing a little something for me, personally.
I enjoyed Wesley and Emerson's characters, but felt it was lacking some intimacy - like actual couple-type moments. There were some, but not enough for me to feel super attached. I felt more attached to some of the side characters than the couple at times. That spice was spicin, though
Well alright then, sugar
Whew. Luke and Emmy are a hot pair!
Honestly, though, I loved the ADHD rep in this book because I am also ADHD. The few descriptions of what it's like really made me see myself in Emmy and it gave me a connection I don't normally get to have with FMCs. And her best friend who just GETS her and Luke who just rolls with the punches (no pun intended lol)? Icing on the cake.
I'm such a huge fan of this book and will not stop recommending it.
Such a sweet story
This book had me all in my feels. Happy one second, crying the next, screaming and everything else in between.
Billie is an incredible character - strong, fierce, and passionate. She has her faults, but she has a great heart and I love that.
Vaughn made me mad and also made me swoon. Watching him learn how to let go of the past and embrace the future made me so happy.
Elsie Silver never fails to deliver a sweet, swoon-worthy story and I'm so happy I finally caved and read it.
