It was somewhat entertaining. But overall I felt that it was badly researched, very superficial, unlikable characters and there's a constant xenophobic undertone, which was really off-putting. Like other reviewers stated, the flaws might come from the fact that Terry Hayes is a screen play writer, and in a movie, the actors give depth to the characters.
There are too many convenient coincidences for the story to be believable, especially since the protagonist is supposed to be an amazing secret agent. Many revelations and conclusions are merely coincidence and have nothing to to with his alleged talents.
The last one of the books I found unnecessary longwinded at times. I found myself skipping through passages just to get on with the story.
A worthy follow up to the first two books. I enjoyed the setup for a new story in this great, fleshed out universe.
