This was so cute !!! I thought I'd rate lower since it's YA and a romance but I really can't. It made me feel the feels and I related to Charlie enough to want see how her decisions panned out. I probably would've gushed over this back in middle school/high school but I'm really just feeling sappy and happy
4.8 -OMG WHY DID IT HAVE TO END LIKE THAT
Okay, this was an emotional rollercoaster.. very heavy on the psychological drama. I really felt the main character's uncertainty and fear, however, it kinda felt dragged on (why it's not 5 stars for me). Like, yes, I know you are feeling this way,and it sucks but like, do something about it. Idk maybe I'm just too harsh on the circumstances in which she was in. It's a very interesting perspective on motherhood as well since we get a feel of three generations of women and their trickling impact (good and bad) on eachother. I think if I remove myself from the story it's 5 stars for me so I'll round up lol the things she did as a mother are not things I would do (or agree with) especially when it came to her daughter. I couldn't empathize entirely but i did when it came to her son, for sure. The ending made me release the breath I didn't even know I was holding
Not as enjoyable as the first one but it had a really good set up from the next book!! :)
4.3 - wow, I really liked this story! Super accessible read like many others have said and I don't think it was so ubpruptly ended. The writing wasn't super detailed which I'm glad for (for a beginner fantasy reader like me). I honestly can't wait for the next book since there were definite cliff hangers !
3.5 - fairly enjoyable but not anything that “wow-ed” me. Some parts were pretty creepy to listen to and the story was unique enough to keep listening.
3.8 - I'm all for justice...revenge, mehhh okay sure...this story executed it pretty well. It's a pretty quick listen too.
2.8... I don't have much to say. Thought it would more entertaining and interesting but it was just “hmm okay” to me haha
3.7 - very good story... I listened to this for something different. I hadn't read something like this before but it was very enjoyable.
3.5 - it was fun, the gore/body horror was good and it read really quickly, which I liked :) chapters were short too but wasn't overwhelmingly fantastic. I'm glad I read it !
3.5 - 4 if I'm being generous because the ending picked up pretty well (but not really lol) I listened to this majority on audio because I didn't have time to sit down and read it physically and I'm glad I did. Reading it physically just seemed too wordy for me but I reallyyy wanted to read this story! Not too sure if ill re-read it to give it another shot. I'll most likely pick up Hell Bent on audio but I'm not really dying to read it.
3.5 - soooo yeah it's weird, it's obscure, it's up for interpretation lol I think I'll have to re-read but literally after the last sentence I said, out loud... what? utterly confused face
4.25 - the ending brought the rating down but everything else was such a fun ride !! Read it if you are thinking about it
