This was my least favorite of the Ex Hex serious, but in fairness, I really enjoyed the first two books.
I liked the banter of the two MCs. But I think that the mystery/time travel fell a little flat for me.
I think the idea behind the story line was solid, but that the book would need to be a lot longer to do it justice. Things felt like they could have been less rushed with more details. Also. I wanted more of some of the side characters, like Emerald and the grandparents.
2.5 rounded down.
I didn't enjoy this book. I did not like how it was written. I found it hard to physically read, so I listened to the audio version, which was slightly better.
As a new cozy mystery fan, this one wasn't for me. I found the FMCs bouncing around and footnotes annoying, I found it super repetitive and the “you already know this” “you'll figure it out” type comments grated on me.
I had such high hopes that I had already pre ordered book two, but have since cancelled it.
Super cute affirmation book. I loved it.
The affirmations were great and everything is better with cats.

Great book to remind you of the strength of women. Nice inclusion of familiar and new myths/fables.
If moist is a work you dislike, then this might not be the book for you. It is said often.
This was sadly a DNF for me. I paused it at like 10% my first attempt, and then tried again from the beginning, using both written and audio, but I just could not get into it. DNF at 20%
