The movie, of course, is a cult classic and uses the main storyline and characters in this book. However, to compare the two would be a disservice to both. The book by itself without being compared to the movie is a magical experience that allows you deeply know the characters on a whole other level.

I listened to this on an audiobook that had a full performance (different voice actors for each character) and that was definitely the way to go!

To start, I definitely see why this is a classic. The story is timeless, and the writing is wonderful. With that being said, this is just not the story for me. I have never liked stories strictly focused on romance, or stories about the trials and tribulations of socialite life- and that is exactly what this book is about. Even though I don't like these kinds of stories, this is still the best one I've ever read.

This was such a trippy fever dream. It was good though, very weird, and thought provoking.

This book was amazing!! I listened to the audio version, and the performance took some getting used to since the performer sounded sort of robotic. I can't wait to watch the show to see how it compares.
