I really enjoyed Falling for the Underdog! It had such beautiful messages hidden in it.
Addison finds herself accused of a big dognapping. Together with Felix, she tries to find the real dognapper(s). I really enjoyed their search. It brought them in some funny situations and I genuinely laughed out loud at times.
I loved the ending and it wrapped up the story so beautifully.
I'll definitely read Griffin's other books soon!
I absolutely loved The A to Z of Us!
It all felt so real to me. The feelings and struggles were all so realistic and I really felt for both Alice and Zach.
The A-Z dates they went on were the cutest & most wholesome idea, and each of the dates were funny in their own way.
I definitely recommend The A to Z of Us if you're looking for a sweet romance book to read!
This poetry book was okay to me. I read a lot of poetry books, and this one fell into the ‘okay' category. It's not that I thought it was bad, but I also didn't think it was very great either.
Some of the poems I read in this book were very simplistic, which I'm not always a fan of. I'm more of a fan of poems with deep meanings behind them and a lot of emotions. That wasn't the case for me with this book.
However, that's just my opinion and you might absolutely love this poetry book!
Ahhh, A Kiss for Carter was so different from the two previous books in this series (you can read my review for book 1 and book 2 on my blog or here on Goodreads). It was so different, yet I loved it just as much again. I can definitely say that A Kiss for Carter was a bit less steamy than the previous two books and that there was less tension between the characters. However, this was such a sweet and fluffy story. Both Carter and Judith have their own insecurities which are shown very clearly throughout the story, but together they try to work their way through it, which I found to be adorable.
At this point I'm not entirely sure if a Davina Stone book could ever disappoint me.
I really really loved One Night Only. It made me laugh a lot, which I adore in books!
I finished this book in 3 days, which was fairly quickly as I was in a reading slump at the time. The pacing and the writing were just my cup of tea. I also really liked the characters. They were so realistic and real. I felt a lot of empathy towards both Sarah and Declan.
I definitely recommend this one if you're looking for a cute and fluffy read!
I liked this poetry collection more the further I got into the book. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it, but I ended up doing just that. There were a lot of poems I recognized myself in, I love feeling that recognization in poetry books.
I think Angemeer did a great job in putting down her feelings and experiences into words.
I will definitely check out Angemeer's other poetry books.
Ahhh, I loved this book too much. It made my heart swell and made me smile most of the time.
I loved the chemistry between Noah and Juliet. They are a real fun duo. I also really loved the dogs in this book, oop.
I couldn't stop reading once I started this book and that says a lot for me. It made me laugh, it made me cry.
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing for the e-arc.
This was such a delightful read!
The story is about Olivia meeting a struggling actor in a coffee shop. Even though the book only focused on Olivia, I really liked that. We get to read how her day goes on every February 4th for a decade. It's lovely to see her growth and also see the mistakes she makes.
I didn't expect the plot twist at the end, which I love. I was so sucked into the story that I didn't even see the twist coming. It surprised me in a good way and it rounded up the story amazingly.
My favorite character was Liam. He said a lot of wise quotes, which I loved him for.
This book made me smile and didn't turn out to be the cliché story I thought it would be.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for the e-arc.
Flower Crowns and Fearsome Things is such a good book. It is very empowering and inspirational, yet it also contains a lot of emotional poems. I think this could easily be one of my favorite Amanda Lovelace books so far.
The reason why I gave this book 4 stars is because it was a bit repetitive at times. Nevertheless it was a very empowering read.
Confetti is a fairly short poetry book. I started reading it on a Tuesday afternoon and finished it within an hour. I really loved the simplicity of the poems in this book. They are very poetic and carry a lot of emotion along with them. The graphics that were added from time to time really add to the poems and bring them to life a bit.
Some of my favorite poems were: “Wilderness”, “Who am I”, “What I need” and “Dear Mr Anxiety”.
The poem I connected with most was “Dear Mr Anxiety”. I recognised myself in it, which I love when reading poetry.
I couldn't personally connect with a lot of poems, which is why I give Confetti 3 stars. Nevertheless I did enjoy reading this book. It gave me a sort of peace.
Thank you to the author Zuzanna Szostak for the review copy. This did not affect my opinion in any way.
I don't think I have ever read a second chance romance, but I can say that I definitely enjoyed Don't Let The Music Die. At the same time, the beginning of this book gave me enemies to lovers vibes, which I'm always in for.
Don't Let The Music Die deals with so much important topics.
I really loved Matt. He is such a fun character, but at the same time he's dealing with his own insecurities, which were written down so beautifully by Boyle.
I also think Avery's anxiety is portrayed so well. It's hard to write it down the right way, but I think Boyle did a great job.
The “secret” Avery hid from Matt is one I guessed at around 50% of the book already, but I still doubted if I was right from time to time. It didn't bother me that I had “guessed” it long before.
I really loved Don't Let The Music Die, Boyle never seems to disappoint me.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Existence of Amy is such an insightful read. I think it gives a very accurate view on anxiety, OCD and depression. At times, Amy's hurt really broke my heart. Amy is a woman that has to go through so much mental hurt, and that doesn't leave the reader unaffected. Amy keeps her mental hurt a secret to the people around her, and goes through them all alone. You can clearly see her fighting for help throughout the story, but her OCD, depression and anxiety keep her from seeking help. She had to battle her own thoughts everyday, every minute, every second.
The underlying message of this book is really important: a good support system is so so important. This story was touching and heartbreaking, and it left me thinking about life for a while after reading it.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. This did not affect my opinion in any way.
Welcome to the Grief Club is a book for those grieving the loss of someone. Sadly enough, I have suffered some losses already, and this book really felt like a big hug.
In the book, it is clearly stated that “the grief club” is here if and when you need them. Welcome to the Grief Club would definitely also be an interesting book if you were fortunate enough to not have suffered such a loss yet. Its approach to grief is so good and understandable.
I have read quite some books about grief already, but I really think this is the “best” one I have read up until now. Kwoh has a way of writing in which you feel understood. I think this is important when you have suffered a loss.
Thank you Janine Kwoh for writing this book. I'm sure it'll help a lot of people feel less alone.
