The dialogue was ridiculous and very distracting to the story. The words used to describe the setting were way too detailed and complicated. It was unnecessary and seemed to be used to just sound smart. Not interested in reading this any further. 

This was such a fantastic book! The author was an expert storyteller in this novel. I was so intrigued by each chapter that I wanted to continue reading to finish it, but I also didn't want to finish because of how wonderful this was. It was heart-warming, funny, and just beautiful to imagine all of it. I really loved the relationships between the characters in this book as well.
Doing research afterwards I learned that this book was inspired by real historic events, two characters were based on real people, and a real location which is all the more exciting to me. My daughter and I loved this marvelously crafted story, and one day we hope to visit the special place in this book. I can't wait to read this book again one day. Ann Weil does an excellent job transporting you to the wonderful island of Capri.

I loved this book. The only negative I have is that I wish it went on forever. I was entertained the entire time, and I loved the relationships in this book. For once I wish I was more like a character, Brielle. She was so funny and fantastic with kids. I just loved this so much. I'll be buying it and rereading it sooner rather than later.
