Great story telling, love the way the story sounds when you read it out loud.
Really good fun, some really great ideas and some definite “laugh out loud” moments. Geeky, time-travel, wizards, what isn't there to love!
4 stars because I've spoilt myself with books like Ready Player One and Armada which are in similar-ish vein, but I enjoyed more.
A great little story set in a world we recognise where both humans and dragons and exist.
Left me wanting more!
Might need to read some of Nix's works and see how they go.
A beautiful beautiful book!
A lovely collection of stories which are kind of linked, stories within stories, told in a true storyteller way, and illustrated wonderfully. Stories of love, stories of creation, of jealousy, and of humans, of bravery and hope.
Adorable!
A great book - Leckie approaches the ideas of gender and individuality in a really unique way.
It lost a star for me as sometimes I found it difficult to follow exactly what was going on, and I also felt that the pace changed (got slower) in certain scenes toward the end which I didn't really like.
A good 4.5 out of 5.
A really good concept, with a great plot. Not full of happy fun times, with some gritty action scenes and unexpected plot twists. Set up well for the future books, I'll definitely be checking them out.
Missing the .5 of a star just because I felt that there was a slightly unnecessary amount of sexy time which didn't always add to the story.
What a fantastic book!! Fantasy storytelling at its best. I love the way in which Rothfuss writes, his development of Kvothe was so exciting to read and I couldn't put the book down. I was with Kvothe in his joy, his grief, his pain and his love. I really loved the parts where Kvothe was playing music and felt that the emotion that Rothfuss managed to provoke was wonderful. Very deep.
I really enjoyed the style of the book, a story within a story. The ending definitely leaves you ready to pick up the next in the series!
An interesting short story - personal choices, families, relationships colliding in a world where if you lie, it rains on you.
Definitely worth a read.
A great children's book - Dinosaurs, time travel, pirates, aztecs and aliens!
and BEAUTIFUL illustrations by Chris Riddell! The kind of pictures you stare at for ages... love it!

This is such a great book. Hilariously dark, but in a way I'm sure kids won't get until they're much older.
I never read this as a child, so reading it to Ivy was as new to me as it was to her. She really loved it, it's such a magical book and I know I would've loved it as a child too. Just perfect for a few chapters a night.
A-may-zinggggg. There are some things you just can't review because in trying to do so you know you're just not going to do any justice to the masterpiece you've just read. That's this.
I now feel incredibly clued up about Quidditch. Great illustrations and brill format.
All 3 stars for this are for the quality of the writing and the fact I “know” it's a good book, it just didn't really do it for me. I'm not really sure what it is, but it didn't grip me!
Creepy as hell.
A great book, which I found a bit slow to get into to start with (hence the four stars). However there is no doubt as to what a great writer Stephen King is. I really enjoyed the way he wrote Cujo's communication, and the separate relationships which were all entwined. The book really grew to a big crescendo, and did so really well.
I loved dogs before I read this book...now I'm not so sure!!

Such a lovely story with a strong moral message - no matter how hard you try sometimes you just don't enjoy the things everyone else does. But that's ok!
A somewhat believable story regarding rocket power, set in our world. Interesting, but not amazing.
Another great instalment of the Wheel of Time series in graphic novel form. As mentioned in the previous reviews for the graphic novels, what i enjoy most is reading the story with illustrations. After reading the series in novel form, it is an interesting way to re read.
