3.5 stars.
I enjoyed the characters. The writing sounded a bit like a Wikipedia page at times, but overall an enjoyable fast read.
I haven't read book 1, and this one didn't feel like I was missing anything. I would read more in this series!
On a recommendation I listened to this, and the audiobook is 5 stars! 10/10 I recommend listening, the production quality and narration were so good, it sold the story for me. The story itself I rate 4 stars. It's a solid thriller. I would've liked a little more with the ending and 1 particular character (no spoilers) didn't sit right with me at the of it all but overall an engrossing read I would recommend!

Haunted puppets aren't my fave. I didn't love either main character and I wish there was more from Mark's perspective. It felt very drawn out, especially in the second half.
The story itself was lackluster, but the audiobook was enjoyable because Lauren Graham was reading it, and it made my Gilmore Girls loving heart happy.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I would've rated it higher but every character was pretty much the worst, I didn't want to root for any of them.
Disappointing for sure. Not on the same level as Stephanie Plum at all, the writing felt so basic. This storyline could've been so much better!

I enjoyed listening to this over several weeks while at work.
It was fascinating to learn more about one of our founding fathers, and I definitely learned plenty I never knew, and I was reminded of plenty I'd forgotten since American history class.
I've always enjoyed learning more about American history and the Revolution, but the main reason I picked this audiobook was because Richard Gilmore was narrating and it sounded like a conversation about books between Richard and Rory. ❤️ iykyk.
