Being thrown into another world like that, like being thrown into cold water, was really refreshing. I loved the atmosphere of it all, Susanna's way of writing together with the form of journal entries nailed this book into my favourites. Satisfying ending as well :)

The beginning didn't quite hook me, same as with "Under the whispering Door" but what followed gripped my heart and eyes like nothing else. Lovely setting and characters, their development together with the world's itself is hopeful. Can recommend!

While I thought it boring at first, the sheer act of discovering the contents of this alien ship without the constant pressure of a thriller narrative was something new and refreshing. Reminded me of my time playing Outer Wilds! Can recommend to anyone looking for pure curiosity.
