What a perfectly thought out thriller that came together beautifully at the end! And there is a dog that likes to watch the television show The Golden Girls… what more could you ask for! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
For sure this is a “smart person” book. I’m glad I read this on my Kindle as I had to use the dictionary feature on every other page. I just wish we would have gotten more about the octopuses! 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I stayed up way too late many a night to find out what was going to happen next! It was so clever the way the further you got into the story, how all the dots started connecting for a very exciting and unexpected ending! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

The first half of this book resembles the characters Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam (Alec Baldwin) from the original Beetlejuice movie. There is even a version of Juno (Sylvia Sidney). It also has the “Text of the Dead” instead of the “Handbook for the Recently Deceased”. However, the second half of the book was so different and took a nice turn into becoming a thriller! It was unique and suspenseful! You’ll find yourself invested in all the characters and will feel conflicted on who to root for in the end! 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
That was not nice of Caitlin Starling… I was very engaged in the welfare and care of the main character and the mysterious apparition that was introduced! But then I turned the page, and out of nowhere, the book ended! How can you write such a unique and intriguing story but just say “The End” and never tell us what happened? Is there a Book 2 coming and I just missed that notification? 2 Stars ⭐️⭐️!
Unfortunately, I was able to figure out the big reveal pretty early in the book! However, the story was intriguing and very unique… I just wish he would have left out the animal abuse - it pulled me right out of the story! If you like dogs, don’t read this book! 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!
3 things: (1) If you choose to read this book, please check trigger warnings… seriously, they are on every third page, (2) The Author is obsessed with cigarette smoke… if you read the story you will totally get that, and (3) The ending of this revenge story is completely OUTRAGEOUS in the best possible way! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I loved the stress of trying to figure out if what was happening was supernatural or just an awful person… However, (and maybe this is on me), I was expecting some sort of big twist at the end that didn’t happen! 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I could not read this book fast enough! There were so many dramatic things happening at the same time with jump scares and twists! However, it just needed an epilogue (or just one more chapter) for me to give it 5 Stars instead of 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I was happily reading this book… Curious and excited to know how it was going to end! And then it’s like the Author said “Well - I’m not going to provide you any resolution or explanation of the ending - just make it up yourself”. 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Just when I think I’ve read it all, here comes the sex-crazed zombies! But seriously, very emotional book that is a great reminder of what is truly important in our lives! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
It just goes to show you that there is someone special out there for everyone to love - granted this couple is sick and deranged - but there is hope for everyone!
This book is beautifully descriptive. You can almost smell and taste on each page how Italy was at that time! However, it was too dense for me with so many characters to keep track of! It is not a “light weekend” read! You will need to spend a lot of time with this story! 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!

In the best way possible, I could not figure out what was actually happening in this book! However, the ending was very satisfying as everything neatly came together, and it all clicked perfectly like a giant Lego set! 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Don’t let the cozy cover of this book trick you! This is a very suspenseful, unique, and curious book about witches! Nice touch setting it in modern times! If someone from Netflix is out there - this would make into an amazing miniseries! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Overall I enjoyed this ghost story! However, we only got the ending of some of the characters… I think they accidentally forgot the epilogue because there are 7 more characters that we learned a lot about, but we have no idea what happened to them? 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!

The beginning was GREAT! The ending was AWESOME! But the middle was like a scratched record of repeating the following: Talking in sleep… Hearing voices outside… Tapping on the windows and doors… Repeat 10 times! 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
