Just an absolutely amazing adventure. This series hooks me in such a special way that I can understand why for some it might not be as great as I find it to be, but I love it all the same. It scratches a very specific itch that I didn't know was possible in media and I'm very excited to keep listening on.
It's quite impressive how this book went from probably a 6/10 or less to almost an 8 in the final 20% of the book or so.
Despite the rating I did enjoy reading this. I like the characters, the action is pretty good. But it felt aimless and inconclusive. I know it's part of a series, but it almost felt like conflict would resolve and a new one would begin without ever getting a chance to celebrate it being resolved. It's hard to explain the feeling I had finishing this book, but it was such a long and slow read/listen for me.
Enjoyed this book a decent bit! The “magic” system is really cool and interesting, both Allomancy and Feruchemy. The world is interesting and the uncertainty of it all always has you guessing. Fun ride.
Beautifully magical writing and dialogue, very fun and engaging with its limited magic system, and characters that have fantastic chemistry through dialogue and interactions. Really great listen.
This is just a wild ride from beginning to end, absolutely enjoyed myself listening to the audiobook.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit especially towards the latter half and onto the end of the book. This book felt like it had a lot more direction or “substance” than the first book in my opinion.
This books rocks. It's slow going but it really does an amazing job of introducing you into the universe and all the powers in it. Fascinating book and I'm very excited to continue the series. It ends perfectly IMO.
