This story kept me reading. It's not a book I would expect to normally go to and I'm not sure I'd suggest it to anyone else, but it was well written and intriguing.
Great book on Intuitive Eating. Loved the personal stories from the author. Also got response from the author on Twitter when tweeting about the book and my IE experience. Wow!
I'm not sure this was the best plot, but I can't help but love the characters. This is the first Goldy book I've read (rather than listened to) and it definitely gave a different feel. I much prefer listening to the audio versions.
While I did enjoy this addition to Harry's story, it was probably my least favorite so far of all of the books. Felt like a lot of workup and a hectic ending. It did make me cry at the end though, so I guess there's something to be said about Rowling's ability to make you feel so connected to the characters.
Read the sweet book with little one today! I think this is going to be one she's going to like for years to come. A dear friend gave it to us at her baby shower instead of a card. I love the illustrations of a little boy and his bear and all of the sentiment in the story.
I'm not sure really what to say about this book. My thoughts about it are no doubt tainted by the fact that I read the first book, then watched the first season on HBO and then read this book. The show and the book is just different enough that everything kind of blurs together and it's hard to remember what happened where.
The book just seemed like the same characters, but not a continuation of the first book like I expected. I mean Sookie went through so much in the first book that I thought that there would be more referrals back to those situations, but there were not. Also, how many times does Sookie have to get beat up? We get the point...
I guess I was just disappointed by this book, but I had high hopes for it. It wasn't a bad book by any means, just a disappointment to me.
This book had my attention and I read it quickly. I knew there would be a twist at the end, but I didn't know what it would be. I didn't like the twist at all (personally) and it kind of ruined the book for me. And the whole thing seemed a little drawn out to me as well.
Another Dollar Tree find for me. Nothing too substantial on the Argeneau front, but a fun little read. Also an interesting introduction to Frost's series. And, as a “Christmas” book, quite interesting.
I'm not sure their program will work well for my home, but I did enjoy the book overall. There are a lot of honest, great stories, several of which made me laugh out loud. It's worth the read!
I liked the idea of the book and I actually enjoyed reading the parts about their challenge/study, but I hated the commentary and source citing. Overall it made the book boring and ineffective. I skimmed quite a bit of it because of this.
I knew next to nothing about Rob Lowe, other than he was an actor and had a scandalous history. I downloaded this audiobook b/c it was free and I usually love autobiographies. This book was a good listen and I learned a lot about his life by listening. He seems like a decent guy who has learned a lot.
I've started this story more than once, but this is my first time making it through. A neat tale. I love the dedication.
I borrowed this from the library and may be purchasing it for myself, since I really want to try several of the tips and recipes. They seem like real person recipes - stuff that I would like and would eat myself.
I didn't finish this book (borrowed from the library), but I read pretty much everything I had wanted to. I really wanted to hear his version of his life when he was younger. It was an interesting read, although I take what he says with a grain of salt.
This is a great book for both beginning and experienced “hookers”. I love the patterns in the book and the crochet explanations are clear and easy to understand.
Yes, this is the book you think of when you think about a knitter's group. While I'm not always into the adult woman problems and warm fuzzies type of books, I enjoyed this book. The womens' stories kept my attention. The book certainly made me wish I had a knitting/crochet group to join. I will be keeping my eye out to read the rest in the series.
This book is very moving. I have the abridged version that I am reading through now.
ETA: We finished the audiobook this weekend. I think that it was a really great book. The characters really drew me in and I love a good story with multiple (likeable) characters to follow. It starts strong and keeps going throughout the novel.
We're listening to this on audiobook and it's awesome. The stories in the book really draw you in. Attention-keeper.
This is the ultimate audio book, quick stories that are easy to follow. It really makes you laugh and fills you with a lot of random information that you can share with people around you, whether they're interested or not.
I bought this book from the Indianapolis Childrens Museum after seeing their exhibit on Ryan White's life. It was a great exhibit and this is a great book. It's written in YA style, so it's a quick read but very captivating.
I've been a wrestling fan for about 9 years or so now. I've read a couple of wrestling biographies now, but Eddie Guerrero's has been my favorite.
I didn't know too much about Eddie before I started the book, just what I had seen on wrestling shows plus his death in 2005. Immediately the book hit me with how sad it was going to be to read, knowing how the story ended. Even with the sadness, it's a great book. Eddie speaks openly about his troubles and addictions and owns up to them. He tells you so much about his passion, wrestling. He shares his love for his wife and family with you. And, surprisingly to me, the whole book is a great testament to God's power in a life. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was a great encouragement. I was much more impressed with this book and than I had expected to be.
