This book was a total mess with too many moving pieces that didn't truly fit together in the end. We got no satisfying explanations, yet the author pretended to tie things up with a nice bow at the end. Very disappointing.
I put this one off for far too long because of the podcast aspect, but it was executed very well! Great start to April.
I can't believe I put this one off for so long because I loved it, even though it was far from an easy, light read. The constricting feeling of anxiety had a hold on me throughout the whole thing. I hated June so very, very much, but I was still rooting for her. It was such a confusing feeling.
I can't give it more than 4 stars because it had way too many references that already feel dated. There were also some plot points that didn't make much sense to me, but overall, it's definitely a must-read.
This was written in such a clever and unique way that I've never read before, and it was SO GOOD. It was so gripping and, even though it was a little slow, it still had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Absolutely bone chilling.
I would love this if I was more of a romance girly, but as is I need more action in my books since my own life is so boring. I still flew through it and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was bittersweet as it hit home in a lot of aspects.

I love Christmas romances this time of year, and this was a very sweet one.
I think the holiday version of grumpy/sunshine is Grinch/Buddy The Elf. All I'm asking for is a holiday rom-com where both people are obsessed with Christmas. Is that too much to ask? I'm also not big on the miscommunication trope, or the travel catastrophes. Other than this gripes, I enjoyed it.
All the tropes in one book, and so very predictable. I liked the ending so I upped it a star, but in general I didn't enjoy this book.
I LOVE thrillers, but not of this nature. Lots of action scenes, which were fine, but simply not my favorite. I don't regret reading it, but won't be seeking out more by Alex Finlay.
-May Swifite Book Club (Bonus Book)
This book had so many twists, some were really obvious and some were not at all. For that reason alone I loved it.
4.5, and only because I very rarely give 5s to anything anywhere. The atmosphere in this book is perfection and I enjoyed the dynamics throughout.
There is a twist that is somewhat predictable, but I actually didn't see it coming. Maybe I'm just off my game, but whatever the case I really, really enjoyed it. It's not as fucked up as my normal thrillers, but it is still heart pounding enough to keep me thinking about it constantly. We ended February on a good note.
This is the kind of book I would hate any other time of year, but absolutely eat up during the holidays. I love the representation in this cute little book: demisexual, bisexual, self described butch lesbian, non-binary and, of course. Swiftie!
This was a little too confusing, coincidental, and far fetched when it came to the connections. I trust John Marrs and knew he would pull it all together in the end, but it wasn't an instant favorite like most of his books.
WOW! Why are more people not talking about this one? How did this get swept under the rug while, cough, other authors are being recommended every day?!
This book has two timelines and three pov's, which all work together much better than I expected them to. While some of the plot twists are easy to guess, it's still a great read.
My only disappointment is that it ended way too soon! Everything tied up in the epilogue in an epic “tell don't show” sprint. I really wish Murphy had fleshed out the ending with more care like throughout the rest of the story.
Thank you to netgalley for this copy!
I think the best pigeon books are the ones that do not follow the original “don't let the pigeon_____” format.
I enjoyed this well enough until the end. What the actual hell? That's where you're going to leave it?!
4.5.
If you want a book with a twist, or maybe two or three, this is definitely one you should pick up. It's not very often that I start the year with a really good book, but hopefully this is a sign of goodreads (heh) in 2023
WHATTTT?! That was my biggest reaction to the twists in this book. Being a thriller lover, I can usually predict a twist, but I honestly didn't see these coming.
